I had a hysteroscopy and laparoscopy two weeks ago and currently waiting for results of biopsies . I just got a letter about what he found during surgery and he said there was an endometrial build up on right uterine wall. Does anyone know what this means ? He didn't mention this to me in person. When I've googled it says Endometrial hyperplasia? I'm not due to see him for 2 weeks still . Thank you for any information or advice x

hi Katon, can I ask what test or symptoms you had to bring you to get a laparoscopy & hysterectomy please,
Hi Nat107, I had very very heavy periods that were making me very anaemic each month so they wanted to investigate. I had a scan first and also CA125 which was slightly raised above normal levels . They found a 5cm cyst on the scan. Therefore I went for the op and it turned out to be a non-cancerous tumour after removal. I had a hysteroscopy though not a hysterectomy . Also had the marina coil fitted which has made my periods much more manageable aswell .
Thank you for reply, I had very heavy periods and consultant said endometriosis offered the new balloon ablation but I said no but soon after started going through early menopause due to problems with my thyroid, so my periods stopped altogether when I was early 40’s. Had a lot of pelvic pain and bloating so had ultrasound which found cystic appearance of endometrium and 6mm cyst on ovary so referred for further tests at hospital, waited nearly 2 years to get an apointment then further 4 months for a repeat internal scan, went to consultant and he wants to do a hysteroscopy to do a biopsy so I’m. It sure what fully going until I get that, but he did me too. Vaginal hormone peserries as womb lining was thickened, hope all goes well when you go back to see your consultant heavy periods are so bad you have to go through it to empathise how it feels so hope the coil works for you long term xx
