Dad with Stage 4 PCa - Need some words of wisdom...again please!
A liquid
biopsy
was carried out last week, waiting on results for BRCA2 (to see if he qualifies for olaparib (Lynparza®).

Frustrated, stressed and finally starting Ruxolinitib sometime soon.
I had my
biopsy
under anaesthetic and this was not offered on the NHS. I stayed with the original specialist and was not referred back to a MPN specialist team on the NHS.

I got my lung diagnosis after an excruciating wait, and it was a shock!
Thankyou for reading, love goes out to anyone waiting for lung
biopsy
or other test results, the stress is unbearable. It’s not something I ever want to go through again.

Pegasys Update 1.0
So, I started with a fresh pair of eyes in May 2023 and the dreaded bone marrow
biopsy
. Which although unpleasant wasn't as painful as feared. The BMB showed nothing unexpected. My allele burden was 24%. I also got a free upgrade from ET to PV (sorry if that sounds flippant).

Simulation
The valium helped with my procedure last week-I wish I had taken some before the
biopsy
. Will I need to take something before the simulation, or is it pain free?

IVF postponed
Everything has been stopped/postponed until
biopsy
results are back and management is sorted. I feel like jumped through so many hoops to get to this point and now I'm devastated that it's all come to a hold. Everyone keeps reminding me it's on pause but not stopped.

Implantation Issues
We have now been advised to go back to 5.5 days progesterone ( this worries me as my last
biopsy
suggested 7 days) and to try Granocyte injections. I’m so nervous to try again. Has anyone been through this or have any advice? Thank you 😊

Marginal zone lymphoma
I was with every team available, pet scan took place, guided lung biopsies etc, attempted kidney
biopsy
. I refused steroids as I listen to my gut instinct, but was started on mycophenolate.

My husband, 75, overweight w/Watchman, was dx'ed late Nov. w/what was originally classified as Favorable Risk Intermediate after random
biopsy
; we went to a urologic oncologist out of Froedtert in Milwaukee (saw elsewhere, we live near Green Bay) and their take was Gleason 4+3 instead of 3+4 & noted

Colonoscopy report
I have to wait 6 weeks for the
biopsy
results, but the sites were random because it all looked normal. It's to check for microscopic colitis. I am pleased though that I didn't have sedation.

Do I need to go back on Thyroxine?
They said they would need to take a skin
biopsy
to determine what the rash was. The diagnosis finally came back and it was Granuloma Annaulare. I have read up on this, the condition can last for up to 2 years and it has been suggested that it can be linked to diabetes & thyriod problems.

4K test says H. What now?
I'm curious about what 2nd directed
biopsy
will show. The first one the doctor did get to anomalous tissue that he had analyzed (last year) and said it was pre-cancerous cells. I assume the directed
biopsy
(with a MRI guidance) will take those cells and determine what they've become.

Long time no see.
Within 2 days I was at the local hospital having a temporal
biopsy
. This is also negative, so I am having to reduce from 40mg. I feel rubbish on this medication as I cannot sleep, I have gastritis which is made worse.

Biopsy Today- Looking for a quick response -Thanks
The same Urologist ordered a
Biopsy
which she described in a message to me as taking 6-8 core samples, she then passed me on to an oncologist. I asked the oncologist why only 6-8 samples in the
biopsy
when most I had read about took 12-24 samples?

Anyone experience side effects from PMSA test?
The title kind of says it all. 3 cores from
biopsy
show a Gleason 3+4. Dr. is recommending a PSMA test. Should I have concerns about the radioactive compound? Thx.

Thin with NAFLD - treatment successes?
I was diagnosed with NAFLD through blood tests and
biopsy
in 2021. A result of low enzyme production from not having a pancreas, bile duct or gallbladder (whipple surgery for pancreatic tumor). I’m 56 yrs old, 5’7” and 120 lbs. I have always exercised and eaten healthy.

They were treating him before the
biopsy
for post infection glomerulonephritis. Not really sure why I’m writing on here but just wondering if anyone is in a similar situation?
