IVF postponed

Has any been in the situation, I was literally given all the dates and info. All booked in and worked out. To then have additional bleeding the same day (stage 4 endometriosis history) but now they have found an ulcer in my bowel. Everything has been stopped/postponed until biopsy results are back and management is sorted. I feel like jumped through so many hoops to get to this point and now I'm devastated that it's all come to a hold. Everyone keeps reminding me it's on pause but not stopped. Potentially it's the 3rd autoimmune diease, endometriosis, fibromyalgia and now IBD. Feeling pretty defeated.

So sorry to hear you've had to postpone your treatment.

I had to postpone mine while I had a polyp removed, then again when my oestrogen was too high, then again when I had a cyst on my ovary - it's so frustrating but ultimately you need to get these thing sorted to give yourself the best chance at IVF working.

Will they not go ahead if you have cysts on ovaries either? My last scan showed a cyst on my ovary. Unsure if cyclical or endometriosis at this point but they didn't seem to comment on if it would stop anything. Hope you got success when you finally got there xx

It depends if the cyst is producing hormones. Mine was so it would have disrupted the cycle - but if it's not then they will just leave it xx

I have a cyst on my right ovary, it’s not caused a cycle not go ahead. If yours isn’t an issue now I imagine it won’t become one. So sorry to read that your cycle can’t go ahead that’s bound to mess with your head xxxx
