I was diagnosed with NAFLD through blood tests and biopsy in 2021. A result of low enzyme production from not having a pancreas, bile duct or gallbladder (whipple surgery for pancreatic tumor). I’m 56 yrs old, 5’7” and 120 lbs. I have always exercised and eaten healthy. All the info I can find about treatment involves losing weight but I’m not overweight. Looking for others in a similar situation and getting ideas on how to slow down the liver damage. I’ve already progressed from mild fatty liver to severe and would love to get ideas on anything I can do (foods to avoid? Foods to eat?) to stop the progression of NAFLD.

I'm on the same boat. i heard lean nash is higher risk to progress. my fibroscan report always normal 3/4. no varrics, sgpt normal, us-normal, however i have been told "i'm nash patient". day by day i'm losing ability to eat. sleep disorder. i also want to hear the success story of lean patient.
I was told to avoid gluten and all corn products.
Consider quercitin. Capers, onions, apples… just note that it becomes CO2 as it is metabolized so you may feel short of breath as you use it. SO USE SMALL amounts. A teaspoon of capers twice a day may help. Also rinse them first to remove as much salt as possible. Add them to meals or add raw onions to meals.
