Update on skin lesions
He did a
biopsy
but it was not in the first 24 hours so the results were not definitive. He increased my prednisone to 40 mg for four days and the lesions healed leaving behind some patches of purporae.

Liquid biopsy
I then read today about liquid
biopsy
, that wasn’t mentioned by either consultant and we asked about treatment outside the NHS! Dad doesn’t want the invasive
biopsy
; we understand this cancer is inoperable , not curable and life limiting but we don’t feel that all avenues are being explored.

I have questions about Tamoxifen, aka Hormonal Therapy
My 2nd opinion Oncologist
Four Options
: 1) Do nothing, take a break...Which I am going to do for 2 months at least. 2) Do a
biopsy
, but currently I show no signs of recurrence. 3) Do Chemotherapy 4) Do Hormonal Therapy, aka Tamoxifen.

2nd Liver Biopsy result
My 2nd liver
biopsy
states I have advanced bridging fibrosis with a score of 4/6. Which I think means F3. My previous fibroscan was F2 (9.2kpa). I'm not seeing my consultant for 13 weeks.

How I reinvented my life after GCA.
I had a
biopsy
where GCA was confirmed. Looking back, I’m appalled no one could figure it out. I admit I didn’t have the classic symptoms. No jaw pain, no bulging temporal artery, just a slight headache and no eye involvement. After 2 years I’ve finally been able to accept what I have.

I had a
biopsy
in Coventry (Dr Brosens) as we’ve had 3 failed transfers with top embryos and it has shown results which are more in keeping with recurrent miscarriages (which I’ve never had, never had a positive test) rather than implantation failure.

Awful chronic nausea
They also took a
biopsy
of a polyps. Looking theses condition up, they all link them to not just the nausea but also acid reflux and heartburn, neither of which I have.

Anagrelide (Agrylin)
Got a second opinion (still no MPN specialist - another well respected hematologist/oncologist), plus a bone marrow
biopsy
and additional blood tests. Resulted in same diagnosis. Now on Agrylin...just started. I don't understand why this is not the first course of action.

EDS and LS?
My gynae initially said it was eczema but then said I should seek a specialist gynae with a microscope to do a
biopsy
as LS can cause squamous cell carcinoma or vulvar carcinoma. From what I’ve researched , LS is an autoimmune connective tissue condition .

Burning tongue "syndrome": nerve-related ?
I wasn't quick enough, as I'd just been told that I would need a
biopsy
for a mass in roof of my mouth - which luckily turned out to be infection from an abscess from three years ago.

Gleason 6, 1 Yr AS, now Gleason 3+4
. , 2 yrs ago noticed PSA doubled to 2.4, last yr 3.5 so had MRI and urine exosome test, "liquid
biopsy
". Range is 1-100, less than 15 and you are ok, o/w suggest a
biopsy
. Mine was 48. Oh, the 3 markers in this test are for more aggressive disease.

How was your Ovarian cancer diagnosed?
Surely they need to do a
biopsy
or an MRI? So my question is, what was the very first point at which suspected ovarian cancer arose for you, and what diagnostics were user to get a definitive diagnosis? I feel like they're fobbing me off to be honest.
