Link between statins and eczema?
Hi, I’ve been watching this site since my diagnosis of CVD some 18 months ago. I am a 72 yr old female and was prescribed statins for first time (along with many other meds). I’m reasonably slim, don’t smoke, eat healthily, do not over-consume alcohol and try to exercise. Now I’ve developed eczema

Minor palpitations
Hi all, not concerned but would like opinions from experienced people. I am not currently diagnosed with AF or PAF but I get around 5 palpitations a day. I had a heart attack last year and am taking the standard aspirin, statins and BP tablets having finished my year of aggressive thinners. My palpitations

Undermedicated: what is going on here?
Over the past months I have posted quite a times here and been given lots of support and advice which I really do appreciate. We would all be caught up in NHS system, having incompetent endocrinologists making us even sicker by basing our thyroid status on TSH results only. But, thankfully this site

Does Simvastatin cause onset of Myasthenia Gravis?
The connection between Simvastatin and PMR is established, and I would be grateful for any feedback on the statement below: The use of blood cholesterol-lowering medications called statins is linked to a small risk of myasthenia gravis (MG), according to a large World Health Organization database study

Can Simvastatin bring about the onset of Myasthenia Gravis?
I understand there is a connection between Simvastatin and onset of PMR, but has anyone had experience of it causing Myasthenia Gravis please. My friend is on Simvastatin and just been diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. I've googled it and found this: The use of blood cholesterol-lowering medications

Slow pulse
Hello. I have developed low testing pulse (45) rate over last week or so and wonder if this is normal. I had high pulse rate event in December (134 at rest) so am surprised it’s now so low. I had some chest pain at weekend but thought that delayed reaction to vaccine. I started statins on Sunday - so

Butter or Margarine ...?
Just been chatting with someone who's had two heart attacks and sharing companionable gossip on stents and diet. I was happily boasting about improved diet with no salt, fat, biscuits etc, lots of vegetables, blah de blah ... He told me they say butter now is better than margarine, even those that are

Stressed and Confused
Hi All, This is my first time posting. Just went for a Coronary CT Angiogram and was told I have what looks like a 50 percent blockage in one of the arteries into my heart (not sure which one). On two occasion in the last year I've had some mild / chest arm pain for about 5-10 minutes, and thought it
