Can Simvastatin bring about the onset of Myasthenia Gravis?

I understand there is a connection between Simvastatin and onset of PMR, but has anyone had experience of it causing Myasthenia Gravis please. My friend is on Simvastatin and just been diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis.

I've googled it and found this:

The use of blood cholesterol-lowering medications called statins is linked to a small risk of myasthenia gravis (MG), according to a large World Health Organization database study.22 Jul 2019

Also, are People with Myasthenia Gravis advised to ask their GP to stop being treated with Simvastatin.

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl....

advises closer monitoring of MG patients when on statins

This disusses it and also has a list of all medications she needs to be careful about:

But I think it is a question for a statin or MG support group - I've only come across a couple of people whose PMR diagnosis was changed to MG in all my years on the forums.
