Undermedicated: what is going on here?

Over the past months I have posted quite a times here and been given lots of support and advice which I really do appreciate. We would all be caught up in NHS system, having incompetent endocrinologists making us even sicker by basing our thyroid status on TSH results only. But, thankfully this site was set up to help us find our own way through our thyroid nighmares. How blessed we are.

Comments were made, (in responsive to, blood results I had posted) suggesting I was undermedicated which I already knew due to symptoms (hypothyroid) induced by the fact that my thyroxine had been reduced (February 2020 to present date) from 100mcg to 75mcg despite me not having a thyroid gland due to thyroidectomy in 1992. While on 100mcg of levo my cholesterol level reached 7.6 (prescribed statins but would not take them) and pre-diabetic with score of 45.

Research states that cholesterol levels can rise when one is hypothyroid. Seems the odds were stacked against me and I have been so worried about cholesterol and pre-diabetic numbers rising due to decrease of levo 75mcg and my hypothyroidism.

Well got annual blood test two days ago and spoke with my GP today about them. Flipping heck, I got such a surprise! CHOLESTEROL 2.9

DIABETES no 4

Both are normal. GP was really amazed said, "I don't know what you have been doing"? Did not want to go into hypothyroid symptoms with him because I know this is pointless from past experience. Did mention, I had put on weight, my exercise greatly reduced, I eating sugar stuff, fatigue, insomnia since my levo was reduced to 75mcg last year. He reached conclusion that my massively reduced numbers for cholesterol etc were due to levo reduction.

Considering all the research out there about cholesterol levels rising when one is hypothyroid, how can it be possible that my cholesterol and pre-diabetic levels dropped after levo was reduced? Really would appreciate some feedback on this.

In addition, reasons unknown to him my thyroid results were not sent through with my annual blood test. I Not really concerned about NHS thyroid blood results... I am waiting Thyroid blood results from medichecks. Will be really interesting to see the results when I get them.

Thanks everyone in advance.

No long I was not on statins. Was prescribed them but I would not take them....My high cholesterol levels had nothing to do with my diet, exercise. I was hypothyroid and undermedicated and this causes cholesterol to rise. I combo dosed with levo and small amount of NDT and high cholestrol etc Went to normal.
