Cortisol help
I have consistently had low blood cortisol on pre 9am tests (around 220) and my two saliva tests showed lower than optimal cortisol, especially in a morning. However, a recent cortisol test showed it as 593 serum (101-536). This was a retest from one the previous month, which was around 300, the

Insomnia
Curious, what is the biggest culprit causing chronic insomnia in my diet Lupron, Zytiga, or Prednisone No matter what time I go to sleep 9,10, or 11. I wake at 3 o'clock every morning. Might be able to grab another hour sometimes. Tried Magnesium L-Threonate, Melatonin, Chamomile tea. Dr gave Trazodone

Hi - I'm brand new to the forum and this is actually my very first post. Like many folks with ADHD/executive dysfunction, I have struggled with chronic tardiness. The Use of Low Dose Estradiol to Ameliorate the Effects of ADT on Bone Mass Density
I have been conducting a long-term n of 1 trial since January 23, 2021 using lose dose estradiol (E2) gel to counteract the effects of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) on bone mass density (BMD). I believe that I now have sufficient data to report that low dose transdermal E2, along with exercise and

GABA Nutrientsupplement vs Gabapentin and other Prescription Drugs of the same order
I have had RLS for about 6 years. The first medication was Levodopa 100mg as usual. After about 2 years it didn‘t do anything for me anymore. My new medication was Pramipexol 0.088 mg, which for 6 months worked OK. Then continuesly insomnia set in and I was sleeping or better just dosing off for 1-2

When does supplementation become toxic or counter-productive?
My Dear Fellow Adventurers, Firstly, thank you for the wealth of information and inspiration - having this commuity makes so much difference! I have a question today, that I have already asked both my doctor and pharmacist (neither were able to help): as I add a new supplement every few months

Today is terrible
I barely had any sleep at all... I took my melatonin at 2:30am... and I went to sleep around 4:00am, woke up at 6:19am, and then woke up again at 8:10am, tried to sleep in my sister's room... and then slept again from 10:30am to 12:20pm... I don't think that was a good enough sleep, but I've been very

An Update ~
Well, The past two days have been kind of a whirlwind. I've been struck with insomnia and I hadn't slept in over 24+ hours... I was hungry too, but I was too tired to eat. I've been to the hospital twice within the last three days. My primary care physician prescribed me some melatonin to help me

Closer to checkmate to Parkinson's (1): what Dr. Phillipson says.
This year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the publication of a writing by Dr. Phillipson and an interview about its content. Oliver T. Phillipson is a Harvard scientist. A sage who accumulates decades of experience in the study of aging, mitochondria and Parkinson's disease. And he has a dream that

Melatonin stirs up Tinnitus
All the literature nearly universally says that melatonin is good for tinnitus based on clinical trials and personal experiences Tinnitus UK is not particularly supportive of melatonin I must be an outlier as melatonin really stirs my tinnitus up Just wondering if anyone else considers melatonin

Looking for support - glioblastoma
Hi, My 72 year old wife was recently diagnosed with a grade 4 glioma / glioblastoma. Short history is one hospital wanted to dive right in and do surgery. A 2nd opinion initially ruled it as inoperable after a biopsy. Then they did some tests to determine viability of an "awake" surgical resection.

Sleep Remedies?
Hello all The subject of sleep comes up regularly on this forum and, as yet, I'm not sure if I've heard of an effective remedy. I'm curently waking up between 3-4am and am very awake, like ready to start the day. Some days I've just got up and done things but by 10am or so I feel broken and horrible
