How long between MRI and diagnoses of Acoustic Neuroma.
Hi I have had problems with dizziness and feeling off balance since I had covid in January this year, I also have tinnitus. I was diagnosed by a GP with labyrinthitis. My symptoms evolved a bit from being constantly off balance and nauseous to rushes of a sort of falling feeling that only lasted a few

Home baked gluten free seeded bread.
Hi everyone, Just to go with our polls on sandwiches and fillings especially as todays is our favourite breads. I baked this earlier with white gluten free bread flour I usually use brown but white is lighter and rises better and I'm very pleased with this has risen and baked. Here's the recipe: 350g

British consumers have fuelled healthy eating failure Cambridge University study finds.
Hi everyone, After my post yesterday which was trying to raise awareness of how important a healthy diet is for all of us especially growing children. I've looked for scientific studies and found a lot of conjecture about junk food and obesity and thought that this study by Cambridge Uni was fascinating

Private Hearing Aids?
Hi I recently had a private hearing test and tried out two new hearing aids at The Hearing Clinic UK. I could hear the consonant sound 'th' for the first time in years and my own voice sounded much better. It normally sounds stretchy and tinny with my NHS hearing aids. I have sensorineural hearing loss

I'm sabotaging myself.
However I seem to be hitting the self destruct button, I'm on day 3 of mindless
binge
eating
. I'm at the halfway point to my goal weight and I'm in that frustrating phase of my old clothes are baggy but all my other clothes are still to small or unflattering to wear.

Since there was a
leftover Vegan/Vegetarian hamburger
from last night's dinner, I decided to have that with some of the
leftover 3 colorful coleslaw and add some Ranch dressing and Dip on the coleslaw to mix together
. I also had some
sweet pickled relish and mustard on the burger--

Gluten free seeded white bread.
Hi everyone, After the bread poll we had many members saying how hard they found GF bread baking so here's a gluten free white seeded loaf that I baked this morning and I also picked some home grown tomatoes, I'm growing a few varieties as you can see and so far they all taste good but I think there's

Creamy, Healthy Carrot Soup
Had to make something with with all the leftover carrots I had from my potato soup. First time for me. Combined two recipes. A little garlicky but not overpowering. Onions, fresh ginger, vegetable stock. No cream added, but plenty thick. Forgot the crusty bread at the grocery store so used fig and olive

Hi everyone, Here's some more flap jacks as I'm finding plant based ones really easy to make and moorish as I have a neighbour and friend who is a gluten free vegan so it makes little difference to me whether I use real organic butter or plant based as its all about accommodating friends sometimes, its

Digestive discomfort with fatty liver?
I’m a lean guy and this happened from
binge
drinking and
eating
a bunch of crap. I have been sober but notice a lot of pain discomfort if I eat big meals. Stinks because I’m a runner and I’m so hungry all the time but if I eat the wrong thing I’m in pain all over again.

Just to say measuring can help after a “blow out” even when the scales aren’t friendly
I’ve been away for a few days and have eaten extremely well and, unusually for me, have also had at least a bottle of wine and a cocktail or two! When I weighed myself this morning I had gained 1.2kgs which was only to be expected but when I measured myself (bust, waist, stomach and hips) the tape measure

Hearing loss and Lupus
Hi all. I am just wondering if anyone with lupus have any issues with their hearing. My GP thought during recent continuous flares this is affecting my hearing. I went for a hearing test and was told I had 40% less hearing and I could either buy a hearing aid for £500 or get referred to GP. I went for

Tiromel - Thyro3? ingredients
Hi - I have been on T3 from Uni-Pharma which I managed to obtain in Greece for around 2 euros a pack but have nearly run dry. It seems I can get the same packet online for £11 but see that Tiromel is the same price for 100 tablets and would have like to try that - HOWEVER... -I don't know about all of

MCAS specialist in London?
I’m still struggling with pain in my ears and deafness. I’ve not been able to get on top of my Mast Cell attack. My GP is useless. I’ve got an appt at the hospital for hearing test but it’s way off. I had a mast cell attack on my bladder that lasted years and ended up having DMSO treatment. My ears feel
