Bed rest

I find I'm at my best in the morning after bed rest but as the morning goes on the head drops down with my chin anchored to my chest, as if held by a strong magnet Anyone else suffer with same or similar symptoms?

Probably a silly question, but: The procedure and bed rest lasts for several hours and they pump you with IV fluid. Do you have a tube placed to collect your urine or some other way to deal with it if you have to go?

However, that one week of bed rest stressed me out about the exam's outcome since I couldn't follow my planned routine. After that, my health only worsened, and now I’m on medication for panic disorder. I find it difficult to sleep early and wake up early without taking a pill.

I have just spent another 10 days in hospital whilst they have been trying to get my HR under 100 - nothing working so far - they have let me out with many drugs in the hope that bed rest and the drugswill bring it down. Unfortunately I have also been diagnosed with Stage 3 heart failure.

Bed rest fir a few days and I’ve a nurse daily and under ny cardio weekly to check fluid doesn’t come back. I feel battered in my belly and chest but early days. Once again thanks yo everyone that responded and of course I would have replied. Sue

The whole thing was a blur, chest pains, hospital, procedure, bed rest for 2 days then home. So HA Tuesday home Thursday. I’ve got all my tablets and I’m comfortable with them. I was also told not to drive for 2 weeks. But that is it, no “we will be in touch” do this for a few weeks.

I have been put on bed rest and need to go for another scan next week. Has anyone experienced similar, and the baby has fine. Xx

I saw my PT right away and frequently and did bed rest and finally after 8 days it started to go away. Believe me no one wants to live like that. My advice talk to the doctors./ nurses before hand and ask for caution during the process!

I started bleeding at 16wks which lasted for only a few hours and I was rushed to the hospital and kept on bed rest. I had no pain or cramps whatsoever.

Do I need bed rest ? 30 mins walking which I normally do should I stop now ? Anyone with good news of placenta going up and if so at how many weeks it went up? I hope it goes up for me .. traumatised of bleeding and loosing baby. So any advise would help please anybody on similar situation ?

oh my gosh, my anxiety is out of control, my Twin died 3 weeks ago, suddenly and unexpected, she is still with the coroner as she was seen in A&E on the Monday and sent home on bed rest, she died early hours of Wednesday, so there is a big investigation going on.

Can get 1 week sick leave for bed rest if I ask my Gp? Someone please help and respond as I am so nervous at the moment. This is actually my second IVF journey. First time was when I was still on the waiting list for laparoscopy to remove endo. We miscarried at 8wks unfortunately.

My ribs are so painful from all the coughing I’ve been doing , my doctor and the hospital as put me on bed rest at home for 7 days but if I don’t feel any better then I have to go into hospital, so fingers crossed I start to feel better in the next day or so . Take care everyone keep warm xx

He is strong, especially in his upper body so has the strength to do this, his legs have healed, and although weak from bed rest, thete is no reason he can't he engage with physio, but he just doesn't seem to understand.

Sorry if tmi but had bad experience last year in hospital on bed rest needed to go thought it was a wee but no the other and missed the bed pan Soooo humiliating.

Wanted to hear your experiences days after transfer, did you do bed rest / couch potato / back to work? My clinic says take it easy first 3 days but no bed rest (couch potato is fine haha).

Hiya. I am currently in the menopause with early onset osteoporosis, and have autoimmune related hypothyroidism. I am looking into various ways to manage this, conventional HRT being the least desirable. I much prefer natural ways to manage my health wherever possible, and I've found various herbal supplements

I have been on bed rest with restricted movement up until two days ago. The food options are horrible but I have worked hard to keep within my 1500mg/day limit, but I basically eat the same three things and don’t have any variety of nutritious food.
