thanks to all who answered me a while ago about my heart and pericarditis. I intended to reply yomsll but events turned nasty the fluid just continued to build up to a dangerous level it was affecting my
Left ventricle
I was rushed by ambulance Saturday to Lyon three hours anway but to the surgeon who did my ablation and operated in late sat evening thry just cut me open to release the fluids and thrn put drains for the left overs. Thry literally saved my life.
I’ve now a two inch cut stitched by my heart and thry took drains out yesterday and I’ve come home. Bed rest fir a few days and I’ve a nurse daily and under ny cardio weekly to check fluid doesn’t come back. I feel battered in my belly and chest but early days.
Once again thanks yo everyone that responded and of course I would have replied.

Yes phew that’s what I think. I’ve got good back up see cardio in ten days. Bit scared it will come back as they aren’t sure why it happened, think it might be the ablation as can’t find other cause .
That sounds horrendous and very frightening, I build up fluid 2/3 lbs and the breathlessness tells me I have a problem, so very pleased yours was dealt with and so quickly too, now rest and recover. Good luck x
So sorry to hear what you have been going through and that it has been resolved efficiently. Must have been very frightening for you and your family. I had a light case of liquid round my heart after my ablation resolved with medication. Get well quickly and take care.
Perhaps it was a slow build-up? My small amount of liquid was discovered quite by chance 3 weeks after my ablation as I was having rhythm problems so my cardiologist gave me an echocardiogram. Yours might have been on the boil until you finally became aware with your terrible symptoms. Of course this is just my theory but I feel your ablation may have triggered it.X
