A little update
Hey fibro-family! Recently had a meeting with work and I'll be returning on part time on the 2nd of April. It's either that or lose my job. It's been 2 months and I'm still awaiting an appointment with occupational therapy. Needless to say I'm quite terrified, to say the least. Doctors don't want

Psychological trauma and fibromyalgia
Anyone ever wondered if psychological trauma and stress are strongly linked to fibromyalgia? My family and I have had the most awful news a week ago and my symptoms are a lot worse. My uncle who lives in South Africa was killed by intruders in his home during the night last Thursday. My poor dad has

FROM ONE RUN.........TO ANOTHER.
This is a distance that I have only done once before and that was over a year ago, but I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it, now my pace is building
back
up again after
injury
. So all prepared, with route planned, I headed out on a glorious sunny afternoon.

New here!
I injured myself at the gym;
back
injury
by which I was seen by a Physio. He examined me and said that I had a curved spine and muscle issues. More importantly that my spine was curved, he said I should try and sort the problem by adjusting my posture.

7K IN YOUR FACE!
Not to be stubborn or anything, but just because I wanted to complete a "non stop run" - something that has eluded me since coming
back
from
injury
. So I set off slow. Amazingly, my hangover evaporated in the cold morning air as I breathed in the early spring aromas of damp earth.

Occupational Health
Hi ladies Just wondering your thoughts. Because I have been off work for nearly five weeks now ( two weeks pre op and will be three post op) work have me an app to see the occupational health next week. They have asked me to sign a form to give them access to my medical records. I'm not sure why

Finally back out running
It does feel great to be
back
in the game though. Sitting out
injury
is bad enough, but sitting out enforced recuperation when you fel better is absolute purgatory. But all that is behind me now.

Rupert Sheldrake – The Science Delusion: Why Materialism is not the Answer
This was posted by Dr. Kelly Brogan from Dr. Frank Lipman's website. If you can invest about 20 minutes it is a thought provoking banned TED talk. I thought it was a lot of fun. One of my favorite quotes, "A dogmatic assumption actually inhibits enquiry." Those of us who live in the 'thyroid' world

Exercise
I have severe COPD with other health problems. I see a lot of articles that tell us to exercise. I know walking is a good form of exercise. I walk, and I do breathing exercise, but I just don't feel like this is enough. I got some two pound weights to lift while I'm doing my breathing exercise. I'm 66

Back from the injury couch & with new shoooes!
Today was my first run
back
from the
injury
couch since December 13th! I took it easy & went all the way back to week two, only running a little faster than I might have if I was doing it for the first time. No knee pain so far, but still keeping my fingers crossed!

An 85-year-old man was requested by his doctor for a sperm count as part of his physical exam. The doctor gave the man a jar and said, "Take this jar home and bring back a semen sample tomorrow." The next day the 85-year-old man reappeared at the doctor's office and gave him the jar, which was as clean
