An Unusual False-Positive Uptake of Radioiodine Caused by Breast Implants
Posting this simply to let everyone know! If the issue applies, make sure you discuss properly with anyone who wants to give you radioactive iodine. I suspect it will be at the obscure end of the scale. [i]Clin Nucl Med. 2022 Mar 30. doi: 10.1097/RLU.0000000000004165. Online ahead of print.

My Story so far.
All started with a
back
injury
, was off work for 6 weeks, all the time worrying about being off for so long. Loosing my job. Went back to work for a couple of weeks, had a trapped nerve in my back that would wake me up at night then I couldnât get back to sleep.

Learning to live with Covid
Since all the rules were dropped in favour of learning to live with covid, Iâve been expecting to see comments on here, perhaps I missed them. As someone who was born with PCD, survived war living in industrial Birmingham, going to bed in cold damp air raid shelter, did my bit by collecting shrapnel

Endo adding T3
This time it didnât and I asked if it was because I took prednisone for five days for a
back
injury
but she said usually that lowers the TSH. So my TSH is up there and she has now given me T3 to add to my T4. My T4 never gets below 1.70 for the past two years it stays on the very high normal side.

endoscopy. Should I be worried?
Iâve also started having chest pains sometimes but not sure if itâs due to the excessive gas or due to an
injury
I had a few months
back
. The biggest symptom is feeling bloated and full. Iâm hoping for some answers on Monday that wonât be so sinister.

ENT appointment left me feeling confused
It's been a while since my last past as I've been dealing with a
back
injury
on-top of this T spike. Someone up there has it in for me I swear!! đ So I finally had my ENT appointment this week and was left feeling utterly confused.

Making steady Progress
What I can remember the spine specialist said the past
injury
and surgery on my lower
back
wouldn't cause the permanent foot drop I have and no balance on my left he said he would check for compression of the spinal cord first before the referral to Neurology..in laymans terms none of my historic injuries

MUSIC THERAPY FOR ALIEN HAND
My husband who suffers from CBD is increasingly plagued by his hand clenching and clawing, especially at night. We have tried different objects, such as a rubber ball and rolled up towels but they don't ease the problem. I'm wondering about soothing music with headphones as a brain distraction.

Ototoxic drugs
I was scrolling through some old posts looking for something about habituation. But what caught my eye was a post about ototoxic drugs - those medications which may have an adverse effect on T, specifically. Either currently or in the past Iâve been prescribed several of those mentioned and none of these

Maybe youâre training for a goal or perhaps youâre having a bit of a down time or even coming
back
from illness or
injury
. Even if, for whatever reason, youâre not running at all at the minute youâll always be a runner here. So, get the kettle on, pull up a chair and tell us all about it.Â

Possible stress fracture (tibia) - so frustrated
It is a little better now abd I can walk without limping but not planning to run again any time soon as it'sonly been a week since the
injury
. Having said that I'm keen to get
back
as soon as I can but also worried I'm going to keep injuring myself.

Starting over. Again
Earlier this year I was forced to rest with a foot
injury
. Just started to get
back
into a routine of running 3X a week then got 2nd bout of Covid. I wasnât ill but it left me with no energy and even less motivation. I kept meaning to start running again, without actually doing anything about it.

Best 5 to 10k app?
Unfortunately a
back
injury
that resulted in sciatica paid put to that plan. Last September, after a gap of two years, I restarted C25K and now running 3 x 5ks a week. Really found the C25K app so helpful and looking for advice on the best app to help me move to 10k.

Hyperacusis, tinnitus & headache
Hi, not been on here for a while but I suffer from Hyperacusis & tinnitus daily. Not sure if the tinnitus is worse or the Hyperacusis which does make it worse. I now have bad heads every day, these are from the top of my head down over my forehead and eyes. Does anyone else have this or is it a separate

A traffic jam in a city in my head day and night.
I go to bed at 9pm and put on a speaker head band with sleep music or crickets. This helps me fall asleep most of the time within minutes rather than without. My T wakes me/keeps me awake every night after 4-5 hours sleep without fail. I'm awake for 1-2 hours, and I often get up and read (write this

L-tryptophan or 5-HTP
If I wean myself off 7.5mg of Mirtazapine ,I am wondering if l-tryptophan or 5 -HTP would be an effective substitute ? If so ,which one is preferable please and what would a characteristic dosage ? How long until one would see an improvement in sleep patterns? Thanks Peter
