Update from Locum app and urgent advice on R-lipoid Acid
Hello, I wrote a few months ago was feeling very unwell with my neuro symptoms, Had an app with new locum. Turned out she was lovely. Listened to me, didn't type during consultation and without me having to ask suggested further bloods for thyroid and antibodies. If needed she would start medication.

Not been diagnosed yet but does this sound like Endo to you? (Sorry for long post)
I went the doctors in September because I’d had continuous bleeding for a several months with some pelvic pain - she treated me for bacterial vaginosis which a swab said it wasn’t. I went back because the bleeding was heavier and the pelvic pain was getting worse- keeping me awake at night. She prescribed

My list of daily supplements
Now that I am finally recovering from the flu I am going to post what the daily regimen of supplements I am taking. Prior to listing the vitamins, minerals, amino acids....I am taking, I need to relate a little history. I have a degree in sculpture and was exposed to many chemicals including toluene

Recent suspected diagnosis
Hi everyone, I've been having irregular periods and pain for the last 3 years. I have been put on the contraceptive pill and taken off it, had the mirena coil put in, had mefanamic and tranexamic acid. Each one has helped a little but the pain is still unbearable and the bleeding continues daily. I

13k
Feeling a bit snoozy right now (think it’s the underactive thyroid making itself known) so this will be a very brief post. This morning’s Canicross run was practically on my doorstep, but I had to do some advance planning so that I could do the 13k that MyAsics wanted me to, instead of the 8k that

Could this be endometriosis? I don't know what to do.
I don't know if I have endometriosis, but I've had awful periods from about day 1 on the first day of my period I'd always get immense pain in my abdominal area and would usually be sick, I'd sort of accepted my periods would be painful because sometimes ibuprofen would work. However more frequently

How do people keep their jobs? In a lot of pain and called in sick again!
How do people commute and function at work when they are in pain? I used to take codeine pre child but it made me sleepy and my brain wasn't exactly up to the mathematical office work I do. Nsaids irritate my bowel so I end up with IBS symptoms that make it difficult to leave house and paracetamol does

Would appreciate any thoughts or advice re fluctuating TSH results
Hi - thanks for letting me join and would be grateful for some advise please. Posted last week to explain that had my TSH checked in Dec 2016 and came back 'normal' at 1.68. Then checked again this time requested by a gynae consultant in Dec 2017 when it had risen to 8.68. Spoke to my GP after Christmas

Bisphosphonates and the dentist
I went for a check up at the dentist yesterday and I was pleased to be able to tell him that I didn't have the third yearly infusion of zoledronic acid because, at last, I had the dexa scan I had been asking for. The result of the dexa scan actually showed improvement from the last one, twelve years

Maybe endometriosis? Prostap recommended.
Hello everyone :) I just joined this group and I am hoping to get some advice, whether medical or experiences people have had, etc. A lot of background, but may help: 10+ years ago, at an estimate, diagnosed with PCOS. When puberty started and I began to get PCOS symptoms it was ultimately dismissed

Ever since September 2017 I’ve been struggling with strange sensations in my feet d . In a previous post I mentioned the feeling of standing in cold water and the thought that I had peripheral neuropathy an adverse effect of a Pneumovax 23 shot I got in August . Since then I’ve seen a neurologist

Goodbye Alendronic Acid
I was prescribed AA in Jan 2014 when my GP diagnosed PMR. Having started on 40mg Pred I reached 4mg in December. Iasked my GP about giving up AA, and she said no, so I asked for a DXA scan. This happened before Christmas, and I was told that the result would be with my GP in 10-15 days. Yesterday I received
