Can anyone give me advice on bruising on my legs and arms for no apparent reason. I have rheumatoid arthritis and currently attending hospital for it. Also I’ve just developed sausage toe in my big toe. Badly swollen and all bruised. Many Thanks.

GCA, now PMR & Rheumatoid Arthritis as well
Hello everyone, I would be very grateful for your experiences and advice. I saw my rheumatologist last week and she has diagnosed PMR & Rheumatoid arthritis in addition to GCA which I’ve had since July last year. I am currently on 12mg of Pred and have been trying to reduce to 11 which has been difficult

Adalimumab?
I’ve been reading posts about Adalimumab and I’m a bit confused. It seems to be called a few different names and also seems to be used alongside Methotrexate or something else. I will only be taking it on its own as I can’t take Methotrexate. Is anyone else using it on its own?

Hello everyone I have arthritis in many of my joints… my left wrist being the worst. I have been told for nearly 5 years that I do not have arthritis and that the pain I am suffering with is due to my fibromyalgia!! I wasn’t convinced. I asked for a second opinion (this hasn’t been a quick procedure

Which Artritis
😔one of my fingers really swelled up after painting a long fence it was so sore. Then a year later it started in the joint in the top of my thumb near my wrist. UK doctor said arthritis and test was negative for RA. Went abroad just before lockdown and doctor said RA without the R factor? He

PMR becomes RA

Pain - where my pain comes from!
My initial visit to the GP was as a result of Pain, this was the first thing I noticed. From the moment I got out of bed in my mid 40's I could not stand on my feet, the nearest experience I had faced previously in my life was glandular fever in my teens. (I have spoken with other fibro individuals

Latent arthritis or PMR
I have had PMR for five years, with classic shoulder and hip symptoms, initially and during flares. Never been able to get lower than 8.5mg Pred until this year. Now down to 6mg. Always slow taper - max 0.5 per month. Over the last month or so I have had increasing arthritis in hands. It is quite

Steroid injection in knee - worth it?
Hello. I have inflammatory arthritis and have had knee pain for a few years, and a baker's cyst in my left knee. Scans also showed osteoarthritis and some mild effusion a year ago. Sometimes the pain is quite bad, especially on stairs. Sometimes it's only aggravated by activity. Sometimes there's barely

F2F with rheumatologist
Had a f2f with rheumatologist last week . Really thorough appt. Gave me a steroid injection to get me through my dads funeral. Both agreed things continue to be very active . He said he wanted to go over my history and get back in touch after another blood test. Letter received this morning. New diagnosis
