I was diagnosed with arthritis after very painful left knee, I was offered physio and injection, however, 12 months later no improvement so I went back to the doctors and asked to be referred back to the hospital for a MRI result of the scan was I have a torn meniscus resulting in keyhole surgery to repair/clean which I’m now waiting for. My point is X-rays don’t show everything. Good luck and I wish you pain free in your funrun 😊

Yer I know yesterday as have had the left knee replaced

Hi Andy6659,

Sorry to hear you are having knee issues. I would be interested to hear about your knee replacement. I am due to have a left knee replacement done but the hospitals here have ran out of bone cement or so they say, I think they were really just waiting on the World Cup to finish incase they had any casualties or injuries so I’m hoping to hear soon.

I’m Still working out etc just no running, but thankfully I finished my C25K. I have severe OS in left knee on a scale of 4 which they said was the highest and the right knee is a 2.

Very nervous as I have never experienced an op before and scared I won’t waken up. How long was your recovery any information you can give would be great. Thank you.

Well had the knee replacement in 2020 just before covid and was the best thing I have done. Recovery was just over 4 months but everyone is different ie age and health

Thank you and you are running with a knee replacement? Now there is def hope for me to get back to it.
