Is this Garbage or truth?
Cobalamin therapy details. The 1000-μg dose begins repletion of stores (up to 150 μg is retained from that injection by most patients). The question is how much is retained by the body from a single 1000mcg injection. Is injecting less better if you suffer too many sides from 1000mcg so why not inject

as anyone got Pagets disease of the bone
I have an underactive thyroid and for the last few years I have had high alkaline phosphatase in my blood. They always thought that was because I had low vitamin D I was given vitamin D supplements but they never increased my vitamin d level, I finally decided to take sublingual vit d plus vitamin

I'm a 23 year guy from india I've b12 and iron deficiency anemia. I commented on someone's post on Terry nails which was posted on pernicious anemia group and someone told me to post this question on thyroid group. Does Terry nail indicate thyroid problem ? Has anyone experienced Terry nails before

Levothyroxine sodium oral solution to control thyroid function in a patient with hypothyroidism and celiac disease
How can it take over twelve years to get to an adequate dose? Yes, I recognise that Tirosint Sol was not available in 2007, but the failure even to consider gluten for so long is unforgivable. (Tirosint Sol seems limited to the USA at present. Certainly not heard of anyone in the UK getting it.) [

anaemia and hydroxyl and platelets
My platelets were 800 three months ago and have gradually been coming down and were 510. The last blood test said they were at 540 and my haemoglobin has come down to the level of anaemia. Surely the hydroxyl caused this but because my platelets have gone up by 30 she has upped my hydroxyl! I also don't

Is it normal to feel super tired after injection?
Hi guys, I was recently diagnosed with PA following 2 positive intrinsic factor antibody tests. I had my first injection of B12 a couple of days ago and have felt super tired and a bit nauseous since. Now I feel tired anyway most of the time, but its been worse this last couple of days. Is this normal

To take or not to take?
I was diagnosed with PMR and GCA in 2018 and have only managed to get to 5mgs of Preds without a flare. I have not seen the Rheumatologist for 18 months. When I last saw him he said I had to continue on Disprin 75 mg or I would have a stroke. My GP thinks I should stop them . Some time ago I went to

Where do I get tested for Permicious Anaemia?
Hi all. Sorry you may be thinking I'm posting this on the wrong community but reason I am posting here is because it is about vitamin b12 and I know that is a huge topic when it comes to thyroid. I posted my results before on here, my thyroid and antibodies came out fine but by vitamin d and active V

Declining b12
Hi all, since my last post my Medichecks active b12 came in at 39, which is borderline. Doctors retested my serum b12 and it has come down from 209 to 190, when I actually started taking supplements! I fought my GP and had an intrinsic factor antibody test today (haven’t taken b12 since April 27th so

Possible coeliac?
I’ve just had some blood results back due to iron deficiency. I also had my first booster jab after loading dose for low B12. Iron is just back in range but results say that serum tissue triglutaminase is high and consistent with coeliac disease. Got an appointment with doctor next week but wondering

Investigating the Influence of Excipients on the Stability of Levothyroxine Sodium Pentahydrate
There has been a tiny rivulet of papers questioning the formulation of levothyroxine products. Time and again, the papers identify problems with excipients of which a large proportion of real products contain at least one. I'm sure it is not the entire picture. But this rivulet has been flowing for

Iron panel, CRP, ESR?
Hi all, so after having a Medichecks full thyroid test in April my result were: TSH 1.39 mIU/L (0.27-4.2)F Freethyroxine 19.4pmol/l (12-22) Yesterday my GP repeated a TSH only test which came back as follows: 0.62 mIU/L (0.38-5.5). Could I be going slightly hyper now? I wasnt expecting the GP to repeat

Folate Deficiency
Hey all, I have had blood work done a couple of weeks ago and everything was fine except folate levels. I have since been put on 5mgs of folic acid and am two weeks into the treatment, however I find that I feel worse (tiredness mainly) than better. I also supplement B12, Vit D and a multivitamin.

Blood test came back negative stool sample positive
Hi everyone So I had so tests done to see what was going on with stomach and bowel issues. My bloods all came back fine but my stool said Coeliac disease was present. I have to wait 4 weeks and do another test before they will refer me to gastroenterology. My brother has Coeliac and has had it since

Low haemoglobin
Hi, I had a blood test on Monday (because of my weird nails which look like Terry's nails) and the surgery phoned me today and told me my haemoglobin is low and the GP wants to do a repeat test and check the B12 and folate levels. I was half asleep so didn't actually tell them that I'm on B12 injections

Anaemia
Hi again. It's good to be back. My doctor did blood tests on Monday and they came back that I'm very anaemic. She said my B12 levels were great. Now I'm on 3 x 210mg iron tablets daily. Unfortunately I've been on Lansoprozole for many years which probably caused the Pernicious Anaemia in the first place
