I have had blood work done a couple of weeks ago and everything was fine except folate levels. I have since been put on 5mgs of folic acid and am two weeks into the treatment, however I find that I feel worse (tiredness mainly) than better. I also supplement B12, Vit D and a multivitamin. The Dr told me it will take a few weeks before I start to notice any real change. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how long did it take before you started to feel better. I'm literally exhausted with brain fog daily. Sleeping the clock around at the minute.
TIA

Thank you so much for your fast response. You have no idea how good it feels to hear that. I thought I was going out of my mind.
I didn't get it from folic but got it from b12 with buzzing heavy tired legs..i got stabbing pains from thaimin which I tried and from b3 which I tried. I stopped taking them but now I'm learning that when your body gets the vitimin it starts to do things like rebuild your blood in your bone marrow and this can feel bad...so I've started again taking a b complex ...(also read one b vitimin on its own is not as good as the combination) and also another one was that people with vitimin d deficiency can have a Harder time with b vitamins so I am just taking it slowly. Taking a smaller dose of b12 ..it will take longer I guess but won't be as uncomfortable. And if I do feel tired I'm just going to rest because my body is probably busy building something important that it needs. I often feel exhausted after a day in the sun too and wondered if that's all the vitimin just knocking me out so it can do repairs with it. To be honest I don't know but I'm hoping it all balances itself out if I consistently get my vitamins and lots of water and I think I deserve to be a bit exhausted ive been chronically malnourished and only realising it. My poor old body has been struggling to keep up with my demands so I'm taking it easy and not expecting it to do anything much for a while. Hope you feal better soon.
