Hello fine people! ✨😍 Deja vu! I feel like I’m having flashbacks. Maybe it is Groundhog Day? Or just an I told you so and now you have wasted one year of my life so I have felt rubbish unnecessarily. ⚠️🆘 So, my Hb wasn’t as low as when I went to donate but it was still clearly in anemic range at 11.7

Folate deficiency - inherited ?
I have folate deficiency anaemia, all the time unless I take folate. Fatigue/exhaustion. My grandad had pernicious anaemia and thyroid bless him. I wonder if it’s related… I also have thyroid disorder.

Advice on Iron Supplements Please
My GP has agreed that I should have a blood test to check my iron levels but in the meantime has suggested that I should take an iron supplement 2-3 times a day. Based on previous advice seen on this forum, this seems excessive so I am thinking that I will just take gentle iron once a day as shown on

Aching legs
I’m new here. In May my skin specialists confirmed SCLE following a biopsy. I am having other tests querying SLE because I have other symptoms. One of them is badly aching legs that feel like they are burning hot and I find it difficult to walk up stairs. I have to hold on and pull myself up .

Blood test changes.
67 years old, 3.5 years on Imbruvica. In remission. Last week's blood test had warning flags all over for first time in two years. About half of them flagged. Had major prostate surgery last month at MD ANDESON. Ones I really noticed were NO MONOCYTES, HIGH ATYPICAL LYMPHS, HIGH BASOS, DOUBLING

Which blood tests to take?
I’m due to see my doctor again in a couple of weeks, and whilst I’m due to do a full thyroid panel, I’m conscious that various advice on here has also advised to test a broader range of things. Off the top of my head, that should include: Ferritin Folate Vitamin D Vitamin B12 I’m currently ting selenium

Hi Everyone! I hope you’re all staying safe and well. It’s certainly been an interesting month to say the least and will glad to be moving into October. Let’s just say there’s been alot of not so good behaviors from both girls and they’ve kept us busy and stressed. We try to remind them that we love

Very helpful to me
Just wanted to share what someone in the medical field that has Pernicious Anaemia herself for 11 years gave me. This list has been EXTREMELY HELPFUL being she has researched these with the absorbing because she also atrophic gastritis and anxiety and even at the beginning having trouble walking.

Hi everyone, I’m due to get a steroid injection soon and just wondered as to wether these are ok to have with b12 deficiency? I was diagnosed the end of may so have only just started my road to recovery. I have many many symptoms and just don’t want to go backwards! Any advice would be gratefully received

Covid Vax Antibody Response/ Member Survey
The LLS study here suggests 97% of us should get some response from the initial vaccine set. My understanding is your WBC counts, esp Neut and Lyph, are important at the time of vaccine. A while ago Paul123456 posted an antibody survey. Maybe a good time to do it again. -Whether you had Covid before

Blood tests - time taken
How long does it take for basic blood tests to be done in the community and for the results to return to the GP, in your experience, on average? The bloods I had tested were FBC, thyroid panel, iron panel and B12. Mine were done on Friday and I need - pretty urgently - to get the results back. Inside
