Hi everyone, I’m due to get a steroid injection soon and just wondered as to wether these are ok to have with b12 deficiency? I was diagnosed the end of may so have only just started my road to recovery. I have many many symptoms and just don’t want to go backwards! Any advice would be gratefully received.

Steroid injections?
Don't think there will be an interaction but ask whoever is administering the steroid.Otherwise ask a pharmacist, but you may need to know exactly which steroid is being used
Hi. I can't say for definite, but if it's any help I am dependent on steroids and I've not been advised of, nor noticed any conflict with my B12 injections.
(I'm adrenally insufficient, I currently take daily high-dose prednisolone for immunosuppression, I have an emergency cortisol injection that I've not needed to use but haven't been warned not to, and I've now been taking every-other-day B12 injections for two weeks.)
If you have Lyme disease (it's often undiagnosed and can cause multi system symptoms) steroids are the WORST thing you can do. You'll get some temporary relief but your Symptoms will eventually amplify as they cause the bacterias to grow.
I had a steroid injection in June for osteoarthritis in my knee, everyone is different of course but I didn't notice any adverse effects. I hope you have a satisfactory result.
