The bee sting
I'm feeling better in myself today, but my face is worse. I have swelling above my eye as well now so I can barely open it. Taking antihistamine tablets and using antihistamine cream so don't think there's much else I can do.

IT IS JUST STRESS
She agreed to do bloods for allergy testing and to redo the thyroid test and sent me a way with a prescription for
antihistamines
. By the time I got to the chemist I was crying my eyes out. I never cry but I feel so ill. I got more information from the pharmacist than I did from the doctor.

Mtxate injections: rash
Well, I went to GP about the rash I reported earlier this week. Diffuse, red pinpoints. The GP phoned rheumatology who suggested I stop methotrexate completely and wait til my next appointment - which isnt for a while. Unhelpful. Then she phoned dermatology who agreed to see me this afternoon. Was looked

Any suggestions regarding which type of antihistamine is least likely to aggravate my RLS? Thanks!

pinpoint rash around ankles
I've developed this rash - like tiny midge bites over the last few weeks. Very itchy, respond to antihistamine cream. I think it must be midges - Scotland, warmer weather, it would make sense wouldnt it. But it does coincide with starting injectable methotrexate. I'm getting 20 mgs which is the same

Developing hayfever?
Normally my asthma triggers aren't 'allergic' - more things like temperature, humidity, chemicals etc. And I had a negative skin prick test for common allergens last year (though a really high total IgE) - never had any symptoms of hayfever usually except a tendency to sneeze more than the average person

Dymista (new treatment for hay fever)
http://www.mims.co.uk/news/1178978/Dymista-new-combination-intranasal-rhinitis-treatment/ Thought I'd post this as a separate blog for anyone struggling with hay fever (excessive pollen levels are expected this year) Only just approved by NICE, available on prescription, it's a combo of antihistamine

Anyone still working full time and on toczilibumab (roactemra?)
And do you need the same
antihistamines
and steroids with the infusion? I am finding it really tough at work, feeling very pressured and not got the same strength and energy i once had. On the one hand i can see that the new drug might help, but i also worry that it might mean even more absence.

Pain after CT Scan
I did have an allergic reaction to the contrast, swelling of the throat, headache, eye pain and was prescribed
antihistamines
which cleared up the problem with the throat however since the CT scan I have had a tension type headache which does not go - pain is on the forehead and to the sides of the forehead

Beating Sleep Problems
Sominex, Unisom and Tylenol PM are first-generation
antihistamines
that promote sleepiness with few to no untoward effects. And generic (diphenhydramine and doxylamine) is as effective, but much less expensive.

Currently active pollens/allergens
Hi, I wondered if anyone knows which allergens/pollens etc are in force at the minute, or if there's a suitable website to look at? I've started with sneezing and a tickle at the back of my throat/roof of mouth and wondered if it was something in the air. I also feel as though I have a chest infection

Hay Fever and an Itchy Nose
The
antihistamines
and nasal spray which he has been prescribed by her doctor help a little with her nasal congestion but don’t do much to alleviate the sneezing or itching unfortunately.

Itchy palms of hands and soles of feet
Can't imagine that this has any relevance to Raynauds and Scleroderma but last Monday the palms of my hands began to itch and also the soles of my feet were very hot and itchy - felt as though I couldn't stand still as it was so irritating. Went to GP who asked all the usual questions - have you changed

Feeling so ashamed....
He then gave me sleeping tablets to help me sleep but i was to scared to take them as i,d been experiencing a fear of not waking from sleep, he then gave me
antihistamines
to try and help with the sleep issue which does occasionally help but doesnt solve the issue of how im feeling.

Hi, my question relates to home thyroid test kits (advanced) are they accurate? More info re this choice of action below :-)
I am easing off
antihistamines
, havent used them since sept last year (I have a bad sun allergy that came in my teens) I itch wherever my skin has been exposed to the sun within an hour or too. Its so bad it sometimes makes me bruise wherever I have clawed myself.

Does lupus cause itchy sore eyes sensitive to bright lights?
Hi, I was just wondering does lupus cause itchy, sore eyes that are sensitive to bright lights? It started yesterday and has been particularly bad today despite taking antihistamine. I had quite a bad day with muscle and joint pain in legs and arms yesterday too but dont know if my eyes are lupus Related

What should I do about hay fever?
In the past I've taken
antihistamines
, but they all have warning labels on the packages that state that people with liver diseases should consult a doctor before taking them. Is there anything I can take to relieve my allergies that won't put too much stress on my liver?
