Antihistamines

Good Morning,General query in regards to taking antihistamines and effects on AF. I have not had the need to take antihistamines for a while. A neighbouring Jasmine tree is in full bloom and causing me grief.

hi there, for anyone taking antihistamines for urticaria and.or angiodema, partic around eyes/face, which do you find work best - fexofenadine or cetirizine? And for those on high dose (up to four times a day, which I’ve been doing) have you found they start losing their effectiveness over time?

A couple of days later after more steroids and antihistamines they discharged me. It’s now been over a week since the second infusion and I’m on daily prednisolone and antihistamines, but I still feel awful! My body feels super weak, I’m getting exhausted so easily and I have ongoing headaches.

Has anyone been on double dose of antihistamines in pregnancy and everything was OK? I took one claritin daily with my first child but my asthma got worse since and now I'm on double cetirizine but thinking about having another IVF.

And if I take antihistamines for a few days at a stretch the impact in my RA is even more pronounced. I know correlation is not causation and research says that antihistamines are not helpful. But there is much they don't yet know about this disease, and often sharing anecdotes can be helpful.

saw my Haemo this morning & she said to stop HU weekends ( currently in 1,000 sat & sun) She also mentioned about possibly trying the medication beginning with R which I think must be ruxulontib - sorry don’t know spelling. but she said not yet approved for ET and she’d have to get die isl permission

hi, does anyone else take antihistamines for hay fever, with HF and AF? can’t ask the pharmacist or GP so I thought I’d see what others do! allergic to tree pollen and fed up of sneezing already, lol. 🤣

There are some with corticoids and others with antihistamines. Thank you in advance

So when you've had CT/MRI scans to rule out the 'nasties' (accoustic neuroma) and you've got nowhere with the steroid nasal sprays and antihistamines...what then? Is the current recommended treatment grommets and or balloon dilation? Please don't say there's no treatment 😱😱

I'm considering taking antihistamines , incase its an allergy but unsure of which one to take. Any recommendations will be very much appreciated.

Have any of you or do any of you take Claratin or any other antihistamines?, I'm aware there are so many over the counter meds we are not allowed to take. Obviously I will check with medical person, but also good to get views from Club Members. Thanks. 🤗

I told them they can’t use most antidepressants or sedating antihistamines. I don’t want to suggest benzodiazepines . I’m drawing a blank. Please help.

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge/experience/comments around the use of antihistamines in the treatment of PMR. I did read on a post that someone takes a daily antihistamine along with other meds. I have done a little reading online ( not too far down the rabbit hole!!)

However I’ve been having an allergic reaction at the injection site for the last 3 weeks getting worse each week despite taking antihistamines as recommended by Vascular CNS and just wondered if anyone else has experienced this.

It seems, having looked about Google, that newer antihistamines do not have the connection with Dementia but they seem to be non drowsy. Does anyone know if there is a drowsy one that won't possibly increase dementia in later life? Thanks

I'm taking antihistamines daily, Dymisyta nasel spray twice daily but just can't get rid of the mucus that feels like a ball at the bottom of my throat. Any tips please? Do you take any cough meds with Benepali and sulfasalazine? If yes what helps you? X

I seem to be able to find articles that say antihistamines are both good and bad...I've noticed when taking cetirizine for my hayfever that I get less "restless legs". Any further info?

I take antihistamines all year round for sinus issues. I’m also using up an unopened bottle of Starpowa gut bacteria probiotics, but I’m a good two weeks in of them. Could it be a combination of the two ? Any advice?

I have also tried several antihistamines, none worked. But.....I have recently tried fexofenadine. And, 3 weeks on, my symptoms have been massively reduced. At some point I'll have to stop to see if they come back, but for now I will keep taking them.
