My dentist gave me
antibiotics
which didn't work and after my 4th trip to the dentist they advised that they would give me a follow up in a week.

Adult daughter refusing to speak to us
(She has had a lot of recent UTI's and been on a lot of
antibiotics
which might contribute.) She is also undergoing therapy for past sexual assaults and trauma going back to her teen years.

Swelling & severe pain in toe
Not sure whether to call the doctors as last time (during lockdown) i was prescribed
antibiotics
for an infection - obviously a telephone appointment and these didn't help either. Just wondering if anyone else suffers with this? Hope you're all doing ok these January!

Reactions to Antibiotics and unable to treat UTI/Prostatitis
The
antibiotics
work extremely well, I feel "well" when I take them, aside from the nerve pain. Is it best to wait for more healing before treating the infection? It's a very difficult situation but I have to do something.

Concerned. Is this just bad luck??
Took 20 days of
antibiotics
to clear it( they had to change the antibiotic half way through) . Then at the beginning of December I had that terrible virus which turned into a bad chest infection. So had
antibiotics
and steroids.

Dry socket advice needed
I stopped Imraldi and Metoject before the extraction and have just completed 7 days of
antibiotics
. Any shared experiences on managing pain and encouraging healing gratefully received.

Jaw Pain
Initially I thought it was related to an on ear infection but this has now cleared up after 3 lots of
antibiotics
. However I still have a very stiff and painful lower jaw. Could this be PMR related? I don't have any pain in my temple or any other symptoms so not GCA)

pain after surgery
Hi, I have been struggling with a wound on my left foot for over two years, it became very infected last September, and I had to be put on several different
antibiotics
for a month, they did mri scans testing for osteomylitis, but I was clear of that, also various other scans.

Maybe a sheep dip or biohazard fumigation chambers would do the trick 😂
Well, saw my GP again today as absolutely no better, certain symptoms leaning towards either new infection or the original not totally responding to the last
antibiotics
so getting a different one. Lungs now have air entry but crackling at the bases no results in the X-ray as yet.

Docetaxel induced febrile neutropenia
Following 1st cycle of Docetaxel on 16th Jan 2023, I had an episode of febrile neutropenia (Neutrophil count: 0.07 X 10^9/L) on 25Jan 2023 needing hospital admission and IV
antibiotics
. I was poorly for 24 hours. Oral ulcers which I had are said to be almost diagnostic of neutropenia.

Having an GA and operation whilst on warfarin
She developed an internal abscess that
antibiotics
weren't touching and her GP told her to go to A&E at the crack of dawn to be seen urgently. They were so alarmed at her infection levels she was kept in and operated on the next day.

Compensated or Decompensated
The doctors diagnosed spontaneous bacterial peritonitis and I was given 10 days of IV
antibiotics
, IV potassium, IV plasma and various supplements. I was discharged yesterday after a near 12 day stay, with a follow-up appointment in the clinic in 16 days.

first steps to alcohol free
I am scared though as I don’t want to fail again in my attempt at sobriety, the longest I’ve been without alcohol was two weeks and that was only because I was on
antibiotics
. I would love to here from anyone that has been in my predicament and has successfully gone on to be alcohol free.
