Shingles
He's on
antibiotics
and we're applying cream (which I do with gloves on). I haven't been vaxed. I understand I can't contract shingles until the pustules burst. That's right, isn't it? Are there other things us immunocompromised need to be aware of with this disease? I'm w & w, 13q, unmutated.

IVIG - how soon does it benefit?
Diff thanks to months of
antibiotics
). His ID doc has said that the IG may likely have Covid antibodies in it. For those who get IV(or subcutaneous) IG, I’m wondering how soon this has an effect on the immune system.

Severe Cold, to Bronchitis; PMR has not returned
Felt like a viral infection and my GP agreed and no
antibiotics
given. I was concerned that all of this would trigger a return of PMR, but so far (it’s been 2 weeks since end of this infection) with no symptoms. Just 2 weeks from being 6 months off Pred., and my fingers are 🤞🏻.

Amgevita and recurring chest infections
Waiting to finish
antibiotics
before I start injecting again, but if it’s leaving me so vulnerable to infections, I’m wondering if it’s worth taking it. I have PsA, also heart disease and asthma.

Bladder pain after laparoscopy
In the 6 weeks since I have had another 2 courses of
antibiotics
for uti's (even tho samples came back clear after being borderline) and a long course of strong
antibiotics
for another suspected infection. All blood tests and swabs came back clear.

CLL and CGD
It says a lifetime of
antibiotics
and antifungal are necessary. My questions are, does anybody here have CGD and CLL? Are there extra considerations that need to be taken with drugs because of CLL? Does anyone know if CGD can be dormant and then surface?

Finally managed it
After a bad chest infection (2 weeks of
antibiotics
and steroids) I have been feeling very weak, shaky and short of breath, it doesn't seem a lot taking my rubbish out but the thought of going down a flight of stairs and along the walkway to the chute filled me with dread.

Why did I become unresponsive?
I normally improve after being treated for dehydration, detox and
antibiotics
. These incidents are getting more frequent despite doing everything possible to prevent them.

Chest infection and Asthma .. should I call 111
I think although my breathing now is not as bad as it has been in the past (no blue lips or not being able to talk or anything) I probably need
antibiotics
. Could these wait till Monday when I can see an asthma nurse or GP maybe? or should I just phone 111?

has anyone had encephalitis a few times
They had already started her on antivirals and
antibiotics
but she didn’t gain consciousness and we lost her on Jan 27th. I am puzzled why they didn’t ‘catch it’ when she first went in but scans were clear.

Reactions to Antibiotics and unable to treat UTI/Prostatitis
The
antibiotics
work extremely well, I feel "well" when I take them, aside from the nerve pain. Is it best to wait for more healing before treating the infection? It's a very difficult situation but I have to do something.

Concerned. Is this just bad luck??
Took 20 days of
antibiotics
to clear it( they had to change the antibiotic half way through) . Then at the beginning of December I had that terrible virus which turned into a bad chest infection. So had
antibiotics
and steroids.
