just been to see the doctor this evening I’ve been told I have the streptococcal virus 2000mg antibiotics a day for ten days just to add to the other amount of pills I’m on 😱

oh blast! Do you mean the Strep A bacterium thats in the news? I am suddenly hearing of adults getting it in increasing numbers on the local grape vine. Glad you’ve got appropriate treatment, rest up.

Not a virus - a bacterial infection which is why you have antibiotics (they don't work for viruses). As Snazzy says - the Strep A that is in the news?
