Vulnerable or not?
Then my rheumatology nurse rang to say she had been contacted by NHS covid 119 to provide antivirals but that I was not eligible and then told me to stop taking ibuprofen and go to A & E if I felt worse, then lectured me about people overusing
antibiotics
. Which I felt was terrible advice.

My Boy
The surgeon told me the
antibiotics
were not working for the sepsis, he said that if he was to operate chances were he would die during the operation or after and they would not ventilate because of his disabilities so we had no choice but to let him go Thank you all for your kind words

Update with some pleasant news! I think? and a question
There were some other tests that hadn't been run on my blood RDW, RBC, CDW, etc. that were quite high both times but I had an abcess tooth that is now resolved with a few courses of
antibiotics
and I thought maybe that should be checked and I also asked to check for anemia.

Questions about diverticulitis
I am in hospital at the moment with a bad bout of diverticulitis, treating with intravenous
antibiotics
,and pain management for my many other health issues. I don’t know that much about diverticulitis and the staff in the hospital mostly too busy to give me any answers .

Pregnancy, IBS D and a gallstone
codeine if it gets worse. The diarrhoea continued so I rang 111 again the next day and another Dr was quite cold with me and hinted I didnt care for the health of my unborn baby as I asked if I could take my loperamide or have codeine. He said codeine is more dangerous and then asked me why I had taken

Asthma or COPD?
Okay after
antibiotics
but asked GP if a specialist could look at me as worried about a test 6 yrs ago that said I might have COPD. So currently seeing a consultant and he a v experienced technician (physiologist) to do spirometry etc. That was 60% of predicted on the forced 1 sec exhalation.

Today, another CT Scan to Rule Out Blood Clot on Lung
Obviously there's an infection there somewhere and I think
antibiotics
in order at this point. Found this out when ER doc did extra blood work. Also did a blood test for clots. This is not to say I have a clot on my lung, but we are ruling out with another CT Scan today.

Reaching out.
Chest nurse suggested trying to now catch exacerbation with steroids first, rather than other way round, resorting to the
antibiotics
if it gets away from me. Here we go round the mulberry bush! Best wishes to everyone 🍀

Why am I still hoarse five days after hospital discharge?
I was discharged five days ago on broad-spectrum
antibiotics
. On discharge I sounded hoarse as my voice was muffled. My family and I thought might be from increased fentanyl patch/over sedation and thus lowered dose of patch. Helpful initially yet voice still not loud and clear.

Our 3 month trip to SE Asia.
I have returned with my prescriptions for Loperamide and
antibiotics
untouched. I walked every morning, averaging 10km a day, and have felt really, really well. As always happens, I have lost weight on the trip, but I usually trickle that back on over the months.

Preventative Antibiotics
I'm wondering if any of you (who are on high doses of PRED) have also been prescribed preventative
antibiotics
? I hate to take things I don't need to take, especially when I'm already a space cadet with all this PRED. Thanks for your input.
