I would speak to somebody as I also have Emphysema and I am on Oxygen 24/7 but at 2L I have been told my oxygen can be increased to 3L on walking but should always be between 88-92. If yours is dropping into the 70's it needs looking into. Hope this helps.

Although I know little about O2 I'm sure you need medical attention, SATs being in 70s Isn't right. I take it you're not in UK. Please get in touch with whowhoever looks after your lung health for some advice as soon as possible. Take care, P

I agree with Gingermusic. SATS below the range 88 to 92% should be investigated. Without wishing to alarm you, there is a useful article on what is safe and what is low at

medicalnewstoday.com/articl... This is the result of a scientific study.

I asked the question: What happens when the oxygen level drops to 70?

When your oxygen level drops to 70, you will experience headaches and dizziness apart from breathlessness. You must consult with your doctor if you observe any of these symptoms so that you can be put on supplemental oxygen to raise the oxygen saturation of the blood.

Both these references will lead you to useful information and they emphasise the requirement to seek advise ASAP. I wish you well.

I use oxygen 15 hrs daily , when your oxygen levels drop to low it is bad for the organs and can cause damage when it goes below about 88 so I would think this needs investigating

It might be dropping if you still have a bad infection it does need investigating as others have said take care xx
