ICU 3 weeks
Hello there, I’m so glad to have found this website, I think it’s just what I need right now. Three weeks ago my Mum was at my house when she had a moment of confusion. She was talking, but not making sense and seemed to struggle to get her words together. What made me concerned was that it didn’t

I am so upset and don’t know where to go from here…
I went to the doctors with 3 months of pain while going for a pee, I have been on two
antibiotics
and none have worked. So, I made an appointment with the doctor to speak about what to do to help with the pain and find out why it was happening, or so I thought.

hello again I am writing regarding my daughter again…. She had a recent hospital stay with trigeminal neuralgia
she also had an infection in her gum treated with IV

wild temperature fluctuations
Only intravenous
antibiotics
seemed to correct this. After discharge from hospital and now having finished Venetoclax I still suffer these temperature fluctuations at a chronic level and sometimes at an acute level. Yesterday my doctor measured 39 deg C.

Flare up after ear infection
I've had ear infection which the doctor gave me antibiotic spray for, thankfully ear pain had gone after a few days, but left with jaw pain, headaches and extreme exhaustion, as soon as I feel a little better I feel I have the energy to do a little bit, then I'm straight down again after the slightest

However it looks like 2 stitches have come out prematurely (possibly due to erections during the night) The area is very tender and appears to be oozing, I’ve been given
antibiotics
for infection by the doctors but they didn’t mention restitching or if it would affect the healing process of my wound

Rosacea
I've tried all the usual topical treatments and had a 3-month course of
antibiotics
. Sadly none of these appear to have had any positive affect. I have been offered Isotretinoin in respect of the lumps and bumps on my chin (which appear to be permanent and progressive, they are not spots).

Always trust your instincts
(Husband has cirrhosis/portal vein blood clot and he had TIPPS in 2022 ) Whilst essentially sofa bound with broken knee and wrist a month in his temperature started to go up then to normal then back up so I arranged a house visit and the nurse practitioner gave him
antibiotics
and upped pregablin dose

Prednisolone
Hi Pnut, I was recently recovering from Covid which left me with a bad cough, and rather than
antibiotics
my GP prescribed Prednisolone and 5 day course of 6x5mg tablets once a day helped me almost immediately. I have had a similar dose in the past and it works great for me.

Why do they not prescribe Grastofil (filgrastim) during chemotherapy
I was given intravenous full spectrum
antibiotics
every 4 hours for the 5days. After this I was prescribed Grastofil before the next 4 infusions. My question is why don't they just prescribe Grastofil at every infusion to be safe. Does this drug lesson the performance of the chemotherapy.

The Arm Saga continues...to chemo or not to chemo
( I have a fear that doing so is akin to not finishing a course of
antibiotics
- you leave the most resistant bugs behind and they flourish). Have any of you had a chemo spill resulting in nerve pain, and if so, did the pain resolve entirely?

A tale of two halves…..
I was in for 3 days having had iv
Antibiotics
and came home. Then yesterday I had to call the GPabout a couple of things…..to be told I could only talk about one thing! Even though my second query was connected.

thyroxine drug interactions
Do various
antibiotics
interfere with thyroxine? I’m so brainfogged I can’t work out what google is saying. Clarithomycin for tonsillitis last week - feel v v thyroidy this week. Can’t remember the ones I had for chest infection but that was 2 months ago.

ANOTHER UTI. ON A DIFFERENT ANTIBIOTIC: SICK DAY RULES?
Hi all. Feeling very sore and emotional. Neck, shoulders backs of arms. Should I have upped the Pred again per the SDR? Getting a lot of UTIs it seems. Isn't there something we mention in the forum that helps prevent these? Just got off the Sick Days post surgery. On quite strong antibiotic and it's

pulsatile tinnitus
A nurse said I had an ear infection but
antibiotics
made no difference. I was quickly sent for an MRA which was clear. I also had an ENT referral which took 18 months. During these 18 months I regularly checked with my GPs if they could help but they just said there was no specific cause.
