hello. I’ve been having dry itchy ear canals for a while. I’m constantly scratching. Friday I woke up with a clogged ear and some numbness on cheek.
I went to URGENT care and they said I had an ear infection. They gave me antibiotic drops.
the cheek numbness is gone, but I still have pressure and clogged ear on and off, I also feel weird on that same side of my throat, my eye feels heavy and I get occasional pain on temple and jaw area. I’m starting to freak out. I do have some mild congestion. Anyone else experience anything like this. My nerves are thru the roof!
im freaking myself out here ???? Thank you

i'm so sorry you've suffered with this it sounds horrid.
try not to worry (easy to say). the symptoms you are getting i do think you should get checked out as i'm obvs not a consultant. i get chronic migraines and a few of my symptoms are exactly these i'm afraid 😦. Along with bad temple pain, blurd eye completely so i can't see at times of course terrible pain too and photophobia and auditory pain, phobia and i can't put anything near my ear to make it better. my face, only on the left, always and only on the left is red hot and bright red too.
the itchiness has only turned up this bad since menopause, it feels like i have a jug of water in there!
it could be a sinus infection where your eustacion tube is clogged (a small canal from the back of your nose, hence sinus and to your ear. this happens as it has no where to go the best thing for this is nasal spray for colds. the actual drug begins with an X but i can't remember off hand.
spray it up your nostril then tip your head back and to the side imagining you are clearing the tube. if you swallow the spray you haven't done it correctly as it will just go down your throat lol 😂
This is the quickest easiest way to see if it's a sinus problem. If it helps then great but if it helps a tiny bit go to your dr and tell them your symptoms and say what ypu think.
Go back to A&E, your local walk in centre, call 999, call NHS111, call the gp & ensure you do something NOW! Don't wait for anyone or anything. Get it sorted ASAP as you don't seem to have it sorted at all. All the best 😍
