Selexid

Hi, does anyone have experience of selexid antibiotic for a UTI after Ivor Lewis oesophagectomy?

After my Esophagectomy I also suffered a few UTIs. The antibiotic that always cleared them up was Nitrofurantoin. There are also generic names of that brand which are basically the same. It is a very common brand that GPs prescribe in the UKPhil

Thanks Phil. I've had nitrofurantoin (Macrobid) several times with no problem but this time they've given me Selexid which is penicillin based because of the particular type of infection. Never come across it before and was wondering if anyone else had been prescribed it and how they got on.
