Slighty deranged liver
When l did my bloods l was in the middle of a 10day course of
antibiotics
...can that raise enzymes? 2. Since l got my results l haven't touched alcohol, can l have say one red wine at night or total abstinence? 3. Can you have temporarily high enzymes that go back to normal in time?

Pleural effusion, then oramorph od !
The consensus was that it was definitely the oramorph - I had a couple of
antibiotics
but I'd had those before with no problem. So in future (hopefully never) I shall avoid anything to do with morphine.

TSH of 8.9 but tachycardia
I thought I was just depressed so I tried
antibiotics
which did nothing. I had blood tests which showed my TSH levels are 8.9 and my doctor recommends I take 25mg Levothyroxine.

IBS, SIBO bad breath
Hi everyone, I have a quick question, since GIs here can't help me, I have come here to ask for a piece of advice from you. My IBS symptoms come and go, I am constantly on pro/prebiotics, and my GI keeps on changing the supplements, but my symptoms flare up whenever I have a stress( I started to notice

Candida or Parkinson’s
She took
antibiotics
for a leg ulcer last year so I suspected Candida. A dentist told her it wasn’t, a pharmacist told her it was. Nystatin was prescribed. She took it for about 5 days but it seemed to make it worse.

Which antibiotic to choose and tips...
I have IBS-D and recently have had amazing success using Xifaxan. It is the first thing that has worked to control my symptoms in 5+ years. Honestly, it's been life changing for me - I have been able to socialize with friends again and have even been able to enjoy a few foods that I never thought I'd

UTI and microscopic haematuria
This worked for 7 years until mother of infection which took 2 lots of
antibiotics
to subside, and has left me with microscopic haematuria. Don't want further tests, has anyone else experienced this? Apologies this is not a PMR question unless the two can be connected?

Does the microbiome hold the key to chronic fatigue?
After taking
antibiotics
prescribed to treat a separate infection, she experienced a short-term remission in symptoms. “I went from being bedbound to twirling outside,” Romanuk says. “I had no idea that life could be so different from what I’d become adjusted to.”

Flare confirmed with PET scan
Also, to confirm my belief, my GP diagnosed a throat infection on 8 August and gave me
antibiotics
which I finished after 7 days and I felt much better. I was convinced that this must have been the cause of the inflammation and also I had mosquito bites which always cause a bad reaction.

IBS flaring since antibiotics
So
antibiotics
. Then bad sinus infection. More anti biotics. Really messed up my digestive system. more C. But the pain is wind. Anywhere I can hear it. But get sharp pain in my pelvic floor area. Even a pee can start it up. GP says will take time. But Buscopan not really helping.

Can Endo cause leukocytes to appear in your urine?
I saw the nurse today as a precaution who has given me a course of
antibiotics
for a suspected UTI, however I wondered if actually they were just typical findings for women with endometriosis? Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks! ☺️

Help!
And after 6 months and multiple rounds of
antibiotics
no relief. I made appointment with a urologist to see if it could possibly be stones, he sent me for catscan no stones. Went back to my regular Dr. And she put me on a round of steroids didn't work. But the pain has gotten worse as time goes by.

My PMR is basically gone, but now I got shingles on my right side of face.
All the drugs I took, take lowers my immune system. No prednisone anymore, but Methotrexate lowers immune response. About 4 days ago, got shingles on my face and forehead. It is super pain, bad pain. Before the shingles, I felt like my eyes were infected, eyes and skin all red and sore. Pain not quite

Asthmatic, keep getting chest infections
I'm just finishing my third lot of
antibiotics
and second lot of steroids. I also had a nebuliser in A&E last Friday. They also did an X-ray which showed the healing bacterial infection.

Montekulast and Fostair
Hospitalised and intravenous
antibiotics
etc for a week. I have never had any chest infections prior to this. It now appears I may have late onset asthma. I have been using Fostair 200/6 which has helped the breathlessness but bad side effect of leg cramps.

thyroid and common cold
I'm on
antibiotics
etc but as I have emphysema it's worse. Do people find any sickness gets worse due to auto immunity or is it mainly the carbizabole making immunity worse? interested in your answers on both questions. Thanks for listening:)
