Off on all meds

ITS GOING TI BE 2 YEARS I AM OFF ALL TYPE OF MEDS FOR MY RA.DUE TO ALL KIND OF INFECTIONS.I MUST SAY I HAVE BEING COPING VERY WELL ONCE IN A WILE MY LEFT KNEE GETS SWOLLEN BUT U PUT ICE PADS AND OFF AGAIN.I AM 69 YEARS OLD AND HAVE RA AND SJOGRENS SINCE 40.I HAVE HAD BREAST CANCER LUNG FIBROSIS I SUFFER NEUROPHATIC PAIN SINCE 2017 AFTER SHINGLES.HAVE HAD COVID WITH BLOID EXPECTORATION 1P DAYS NEVER HAD VACCINES FOR FLEW OR COVID.I AM PROBABLY ONE IN A MILLION.TODAY MY URINARY CRONIC INFECTION IS MY AGONY AS I DINT RESPOND TO ANY ANTIBIOTIC BUT SO FAR I DONT HAVE TO BE HOSPITALIZIED.THIS IS MY STORY I WONDER WHITCH WILK BE MY FUTURE?.BUT GP ALL SAY I CANT BE MEDICATED BECAUSE MY INFECTIONS.HOPE YOU ALK KEEP WELL I SHALL KEEP POSTING.SORRY FOR MY INGLISH I AM FROM ARGENTINA

Sorry to hear you are having many infections and have had to come off all meds. Thank goodness you are coping ok at the moment.

I used to get a lot of urinary tract infections and went to see a urologist. He told me to take D:Mannose (either pills or powder taken in water) and he also prescribed Ovestin. Both have helped me a lot and now I rarely get a UTI that needs antibiotics. I hope you find one or both will work for you. Good luck! 🤞🏻

I buy D:Mannose powder (active ingredient) as BLADAPURE (trade name of product) direct from Amazon in UK. I hope you can find that on Amazon in Argentina or elsewhere. It comes as capsules or powder form.

Ovestin (Estriol) 1% cream 15g. Ovestin is the brand name. Here is a link to more information about it. patient-info.co.uk/ovestin-...

It is frequently prescribed to people who have frequent UTIs (as well as for vaginal dryness). Beware it may not be suitable for you as you have had breast cancer. Please discuss with your doctor.

Sorry to hear this. First off best say that I am a male so not quite the same regarding UTIs of which I've had plenty over the years thanks to a bladder condition. I've recently been prescribed something called Hiprex tablets, which raises the acid levels in urine thus killing bacteria. Too early to say if it is helping but many people say it works for them so worth mentioning it to your doctor if you haven't already tried it.

I also stopped all RA meds because of persistant UTIs but eventually had to go back on them because my RA got too bad. Hope you have better luck than me there and you manage to get things sorted.

Thanks so much for a nswering when it comes to syntoms male or female for me the same even if we have different urinary tract.Could you pls tell me the drug Hiprex has? Sorry to hear that. I've had to come off all meds due to side effects also. It's been a year without. It's not been an easy ride but I found a really very strict ketogenic diet has helped considerably.

You have a lot going on with your health and don't seem to be getting a lot of help from your doctors. It's difficult for to give advice because you live in Argentina and I have no idea what your health system is like.Tu inglés es mejor que mi Castellano. Hola q bueno q entendes castellano.Te cuento tengo el mejor seguro social me cubren absolutamente todo el tema es q yo tengo demasiadas patologias y muy complejo mi caso.Aparte estamos viviendo un cambio drastico de gobierno gracias a Dios x lo cual no hay muchos insumos q hay en USA.Aca nos dejaron un pais de 4 mundo de terrorby hasta q esto se componga van a pasar muchos meses.Bueno espero hayas podido entender cualquier dato siempre me sera bienvenido.Gracias y espero estes bien

Good luck, eat healthily, relax , unwind , give yourself a small treat everyday and keep in touch with loved ones. Do things to make you happy and try to eliminate stress. Sometimes medication brings side effects which we dont need and being positive is a medication. I appreciate it is not easy. Be kind to yourself.

I do therapy and goid habits in food my problem is to many pathologis together.Keep well

Shame! You may find a product that contains D:Mannose sold in a health food shop or pharmacy. Good luck.
