I've been diagnosed with heterogeneous texture with very increased vascularity whatever that means. Please enlighten me.
I've had a cold for a week and it's immediately given me bad bronchitis. I've not been this bad for many years. I'm on antibiotics etc but as I have emphysema it's worse. Do people find any sickness gets worse due to auto immunity or is it mainly the carbizabole making immunity worse?
interested in your answers on both questions. Thanks for listening

I can't find my TRAB result but likely Graves, diabetes and likely Celiac initially diagnosed in August. TBI result says awaiting authorised result done in August.
August
sodium 138 133-146
Potassium 4.6 3.5-5.3
Calcium 2.6 2.2-2.6
In 8 Sept tested B12 and Ferritin tested ok (cant find result) Not tested for foliate or selenium or cortisol. I take D3 everyday.
Awaiting full blood test result from about a week ago, can update with that
Symptoms worse at the moment as i have bronchitis, still anxiety etc
heterogeneous texture mean more solid dense tissue, eg scarring or nodules.
increase vascularity (blood flow) is a sign the thyroid is working harder.
Both are seen with autoimmune hashis & Graves. Any other comments or conclusions?
Carbimazole should not affect immune system. In very rare cases it can lower infection fighting white cells.
Full blood count should be monitored should symptoms occur - sore throat / mouth ulcers / easy bruising being a few of the main symptoms. Read through patient information leaflet so you know what you need to be vigilant for.
Lab ranges needed to interpret results accurately. The FT4 & FT3 look a little low by some ranges. If so lowering carbimazole dose correct approach.
Thank you. No more comments re: diagnosis but I'm changing my endocrinologist to someone more local where it'll be easier to get an appointment as I've only had one appointment in August.
wow.... I was looking for some sort of answers to my own conditions during the past week or so, and never thought about cross linking them. It kind of makes sense now. When I think about it. Cheers.
I reckon I have been hypothyroid for many years. I think maybe sometimes my ‘colds’ have been Hashi flares. Whatever, I have always had to give in to them. I just can’t operate. However I asked a similar question only days ago on the forum because my ‘normal’ hypo symptoms were all irritated. Thankfully it’s passing now but it’s easy (for me) to become quite introverted at those times of non thyroidal illness and dare I say in danger of losing the plot. Life is hard enough living with hypothyroidism but even the common cold has the power to mess me up big time!
