UTI infection
I have a UTI infection and so far two
antibiotics
have not worked, and I am allergic to most other kinds. I assume this shows how my immune system is not working well now thanks to prednisone and Kevzara and that an infection is what will finish me off rather than the PMR.

Another update
For them it may just be a tickly cough, for me it could be several weeks on
antibiotics
. I wear a mask when indoors among strangers e.g. the GP waiting room. Fatigue - when first released a walk to the end of the road laid me out for a couple of days. The sights and sounds were too much stimuli.

Wound healing thoughts?
There's no sign of infection atm, and I'm not on
antibiotics
. There's still quite a haematoma around the wound which is dispersing very slowly.

IBS, possibly menopause, any advice
Saw a dr to rule out breast cancer, was given
antibiotics
and sent on my merry way. It still flares up discomfort wise and I have scars in my armpits from it.

How long can a asthma episode last?
She had 10 days of steroids and 10 days of
antibiotics
for a chest infection. As you can imagine she is shacking. We have been to the doctors twice, oxygen level been good at 97. I mentioned if they just gave her a NEB the wheeze would go but as we all know they don’t give NEBS anymore 🙄

Recurrent UTI’s and Methotrexate
He wants me to go on a cycle of 2
antibiotics
one of which is Nitrofuradantoin. My Rheumy has said that one is not good as it can cause Pulmonary Stenosis when taken with MTX. I am at present on 20 mg MTX and she has suggested what I think is a rapid taper off then stopping altogether.

Antibiotics and dentist
Morning. This old chestnut again I'm afraid. I spoke to my sister yesterday evening. She has had aortic valve replacement. She said her dental hygienist refused to carry out a clean without prophylactic antibiotic cover. NICE guidelines have changed. Her dentist was not so sure. Long

Waiting for laperoscopy
I was taking strong
antibiotics
because they believed I had PID. Slowly, things got a little better. Though, the first year of the coil was extremely challenging. I was swabbed many times due to discharge. I still have the discharge now.

Colomycin
I'm desperate for the Colomycin to work to prevent me requiring frequent intravenous
antibiotics
. Has anyone experienced this, or have any advice and tips, I would greatly appreciate it. Sorry the post is so long. Thank you.

another infection!!
I hadn't had
antibiotics
for over 30 years prior to taking pred. In the past year I have had another fungal infection (had one last year), cellulitis requiring IV
antibiotics
, a slight skin tear that became infected and required antibiotic cream, and now this.

Recurring UTI’s
I didn’t have any symptoms and was feeling quite well so surprised when she rang on Thursday to say test showed an infection and I needed
antibiotics
and to get these from my GP, which I have done before.

RA and probiotics?
I use probiotic yoghurts when on
antibiotics
to put back the good bacteria, but I wondered if too many good bacteria actually made RA worse ? it's all part of the immune system..

Feeling a little invalidated
I had acute exacerbation of asthma and needed more
antibiotics
and steroids. Anyway. It’s two weeks later and I have another week off. Hopefully I will be able to go back on MTX and then begin a new biologic (long story) before I go back to work. I’m still feeling a bit chesty though.

Got my
antibiotics
yesterday and last night about 8 pm doc rang up to tell me she has changed my
antibiotics
for another stronger one. Which I will start in 2 hrs. So it's been a horrible painful week. I can now swollow a little bit but not hungry and even if I was I would be able to eat anything.
