Is this going to change my retirement plans?
I have been told by a specialist that I have COPD and asthma. I was never an asthmatic during my youth or working life. Three bouts of chest infections, bronchitis? Flu? I never even went to the dr with it, this over a long life is not much. Then suddenly I started.I had lived with a heavy smoker for

Little response on IVF lite drugs :(
Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation or can shed any light please ... I'm on my 6th attempt of IUI, but this time we decided to try it on a similar drug regime to that used in IVF lite, so that if this didn't work and we go to IVF next, it would give us an indication as to what

HSG test advice please
In 2014 I being diagnosed with both tubes be blocked so I had laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. My right tube couldn’t be safe so I had removed and my left tube was unblocked. After that I had a green light from a doctor that we can get pregnant naturally. So we was trying but wasn’t happening and we decided

Does a clomid-only IVF cycle work?
Hello again, Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Sending love to everyone who is on this crazy journey! I am trying to decide between two clinics for my third cycle. One clinic thinks I should have a clomid-only cycle (minimal stimulation) and the other clinic wants me to take low-doses of Gonal

When in your cycle should you have an Anti Follicle Count done?
Hi All This is my first post! My partner and I are considering IVF (I am 42 my partner is 43). In the last year we have had 3 miscarriages, so considering the chromosome testing. Anyway my question is does anyone know when in your cycle you should have an anti follicle count done (its a scan)? The

AMH levels and PCOS
Looking through some letters from Doctor from when some of the first tests were completed at fertility clinic. FSH is normal at 9.2 but AMH was elevated at 23.6... I also have PCOS, age 30. These tests were done back in November before starting Clomid and before MC. After 6 months on clomid (with

Well not the type, sipping on the beach on a tropical island. After viewing a program, that common meds like Ibuprofen when mixed with ACE inhibitors (Ramipril) and beta blockers (Bisoprolol) causes dangerous side effects. This stirred my curiosity, being a recent heart patient (stemi). I usually talk

OTD day
So OTD is here finally and we have confirmation it is a BFN. 😕 Had been praying I was one of that lucky women who got negative 1-3 days early and a positive on test date. Alas it was not meant to be. After 2 failed single FET transfers and 1 positive double fresh transfer (ended in miscarriage

Does a Malar Rash, muscle pain & tiredness make Lupus???
Hi, I have a rash - a VERY itchy, painful, raw, stinging, burning rash. I've got it above my right eye (inner side) under it and - without any visible signs - on my cheekbones and under my chin and on my collar bone. I am concerned that though this rash FEELS like Rosacea it is actually Lupus. And although

Wondering if it’s the end of the line already
Hi, After my recent cancelled cycle where I didn’t respond to the drugs because of my very low AMH of 2, I’ve been told today I don’t qualify for another round of IVF (at least on the NHS) and have only a very small chance of ever conceiving naturally. I’m beyond devastated but also saw this coming

Living with Rhumatoid arthritis and the journey to a better me
Hi this is my first time here so I thought I would introduce myself and give a little bit of my back ground and my very long journey that has brought me to where I am today. I was diagnosed with JIA back in 2001, even though I had been having problems for a while with one of my knees it came out of nowhere

Anyone else in my position or similar? 38.1st failed ICSI attempt. Never been a mum before.
Finding it tough to find anyone in my situation. I know I've posted LOADS but I find this site such tremendous support. I feel so out of my depth with ivf and I'm a bit of a novice by all accounts. I'm 38, naturally high AMH with no underlying issues. Most of the stories I see on here are low AMH, PCOS

2 x failed rounds, same protocol. Stick or change clinics that don’t want to tweak my meds???
Hello everyone, so just had my second failed cycle last week and after a few days of trying not to think about things too much I’m already thinking about round 3! I’m 44, AMH 2.75. First cycle failed as eggs fertilised abnormally, second cycle got a grade A 5day blastocyst but it failed to implant. My

Tendonitis
I’d like to plug a question into the collective experience bank about tendons. So, started on 60mg in March 2017 for GCA and now on 1.5mg as of 2 weeks ago. Previously at 54 I was very fit and active. Around the 20’s my muscles vanished and I was affected from top to bottom with a high susceptibility

Anyone tried Inofolic?
My clinic suggested these... Although I have regular periods, don't have pcos, naturally high amh with no underlying concerns, they recommended I take these to help improve egg quality. I'm 38 btw. Anyone tried these or had any success? The website seems good and theyre also available in some pharmacies

No need for ADT yet??
Fully expected to go on Lupron today but CT scan came back negative. This coupled with slow doubling time and negative bone scan has my MO thinking that we can hold off on ADT until doubling time speeds up keeping a very close watch on PSA... While I am only TOO happy to avoid ADT for as long as I

Fresh or Frozen Transfer - first cycle?
We’ve just picked up our drugs for our first cycle. We’ve been given the option of a fresh transfer OR freezing with PGS testing. I have just turned 41, high AMH (pcos) but no other issues. We are doing short protocol with ICSI. Our doctor has advised there is no real difference in success rates fresh

Muscular dysfunction - stage 3 endo
Hey! I’m waiting to start my first IVF cycle hopefully in September. Myself and my OH have decided to take a break while we’re waiting, but being a control freak I’m worried about potentially missing an opportunity to conceive When I had my laproscopy in April, my consultant advised me that I have
