Little response on IVF lite drugs :(

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation or can shed any light please ...

I'm on my 6th attempt of IUI, but this time we decided to try it on a similar drug regime to that used in IVF lite, so that if this didn't work and we go to IVF next, it would give us an indication as to what to expect. I was also hoping I might stimulate 3-4 follicles in which case we would swap over to IVF.

I feel I have little hope now, as today day 7 (5th day of stims) on my scan showed just one follicle (I know it only takes one, but its disappointing). I have low AMH and know I will never produce lots of follicles in any cycle (stimulated or not). I've been on Bemfola 150IU for the first two days and then 75IU for the last two and continuing days .. along with Suprecur 0.5ml. I hoped this time I would have had 2-4 follicles, but it seems whenever we increase the drug dosage my body responds in the opposite way as what the drugs are suppose to do. I usually have two which grow to a good size.

I'm slowly loosing all hope, as feel if this cycle doesn't work then I am not sure I'll be suitable candidate for IVF.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Aw don’t give up hope yet. Maybe they don’t want to over stimulate you as they are still aiming for IUI.

The good news is that you know this doesn’t work so if you do need to move to IVF then IVF lite definitely isn’t for you. It’s all so stressful xx

Thanks for your message. Unfortunately we were trialing this drug method, which was a slight increase to the dose I usually take, to see how I’d be in an ivf lite situation. My problem is I don’t seem to ever respond well when the drugs are increased. I think if I took the higher dose used in IVF, then I wouldn’t respond at all, so feel that that just isn’t an option for me.

You’re right it is all really stressful ..
