SNRIs for fibro treatment
After a couple of months, I decided I didn't like how I felt mentally, so I gave up the
amitriptyline
. Even if I was willing to put up with the effectiveness I'd have to take a lot more than 4 mg. When I looked up
amitriptyline
on the web I found it is an SNRI.

I already am treated for a fib (bisoprolol and warfarin) but I have taken (for years) one 10mg
amitriptyline
at night and two 8/500 co-codamol in the middle of the night. Is it ok to continue like this because they really do the trick? Many thanks

I believe the fluoxetine and
amitriptyline
are making my rls much worse. I’m taking the fluoxetine for depression and pain following failed back surgery. The
amitriptyline
is for interstitial cystitis. I tried coming off fluoxetine very gradually over six months but my rls was no better.

Ganglion impar block injection
My IBS can't be controlled by the usual medicine including
amitriptyline
, Pregabalin or Gabapentin. Morphine as pain relief doesn't work either so the pain management Dr is suggesting these injections. If you have had them how did you get on with them? Many thanks

Hi all My GP suggested 10mg of
Amitriptyline
for my neck tension/pain and tension headaches - I took my first dose last night and slept much better but feel pretty dizzy and light headed this morning, annoyingly on top of the cervicogenic dizziness I already have!

Hi Saw GP yesterday for my ongoing IBS type symptoms (not officially diagnosed) I have diverticulosis though. He has prescribed me a low dose of the above medication, which I’ve yet to start taking. Has anyone on here taken them for IBS? I would love to hear your thoughts & experiences.

Neuropathy treatment with POTS/postural hypotension?
The common options like pregabalin and
amitriptyline
apparently often affect autonomic function and I have postural hypotension so was wondering if anyone has tried any that worked?

I've been prescribed Amitriptyline for pelvic pain. Has anyone had success with this medication?
It's an 18 month wait.So, I've been prescribed
Amitriptyline
and he wants me to trial Prostsap again. Which I'm nervous to do, as it was the add back hrt that caused my major flare. Has anyone had success with
Amitriptyline
. I'm hoping it will help with the leg pains 🙏

Aimovig
I've been fortunate to be given Aimovig to try, does anyone know if you continue with your preventative tablets, i.e
amitriptyline
and propanolol or come off them altogether? Thanks

Tablets - zopiclone/amitriptyline
I wondered if I should check about
amitriptyline
instead , as I have taken this before (prior to suffering tinnitus) so am more comfortable knowing I’ve never had an issue with it. Has anyone had a problem with tinnitus after taking
amitriptyline
?

I have pills coming out of my ears at the moment and even contemplating taking
amitriptyline
today but am not happy taking all these meds as everything has side effects eventually and do not like the idea of taking what are happy pills, though a means to an end. Thank you.

I have been taking Citalopram 20mg in the morning for some years to help with anxiety and they help a lot, but recently I have also been prescribed
Amitriptyline
10mg taken at night to help with my lower stomach pain.
