Fatigue is part and parcel of Fybromyalgia for many of us. It tends to come in cycles and it forced me to give up work in 2019. On a good day I carry on as normal and get some excercise but on down days I can sleep for 16 hours through the day although not all in one go.
I find family members don’t really get it but having lived in pain for 40 years I find sleep a nice rest bite from it and the drugs give me very colourful dreams which I have learnt to look forward to as it is an escape from reality.
Good luck with your journey.

Hi, if it last for more than 48hrs have a word with your GP you may be coming down with a bug.
To be honest it may be part and parcel of fibromyalgia. Fatigue is very common. It could also be a side effect from your amitriptyline. I found that if I altered the time of taking it and took it later than normal it would have knock on affects the next day. I found on my pain management program that if I broke the day down and rested between jobs it reduced the severity of my fatigue. Sadly this is not always possible and I do find myself sleeping in the afternoon. Happily a short sleep gives me a recharge and I can potter along with other tasks. I think I have had fibromyalgia for at least ten years now and have learnt to listen to my body . I find I do more by frequent resting and having a nap as needed than if I try to complete tasks in one go.
Hey KBACSI used to take Amitriptyline many years ago and I think I got up to 30mg.
I felt sick all the time while taking it and wanted to sleep all night and all day.
I struggled to keep awake and had a sickly feeling constantly. So I came off long time ago. So I don't think for me personally it's the Fibro that makes me feel sick and I think the tiredness I got from taking Amitriptyline is different from Fibro tiredness.
I recently was told (By Rheumatology Consultant) of another med along the same lines as Amitriptyline but without the said side affects which is called Nortriptyline. I am yet to try but if I need to this will be my next port of call.
Hopefully you'll find out the cause of this so you can rectify it.
Take Care F 🤗
