I did not have a good experience with this medication. I felt dizzy , had dry mouth , severe constipation. My dr kept saying “you gotta give it time to work “, well a month of this WAITING was more than enough time for me to know my system did not agree with it Amitriptyline.

My Experience
I was taking Amitriptyline gabapentin and another one cant remember the name now a few years ago they didn't work for me , nausea ,dizzy feeling like a zombie and seeing big spiders crawling down my walls .. that was enough for me I just won't take that sort of medication now
Urgh it's so difficult isn't it. I don't seem to respond very well to medication either and the withdrawal off them hasn't been pleasant either. Some people seem to tolerate medication well and it helps so I can't help but feel it's worth keeping trying different ones but I'm currently medication free unable to find the courage to try the next one 🤦x
Normally this medication can take time to get into the system however if you are feeling no benefit and the side effects are making things worse then time to talk to your GP again. In a similar situation I just told the GP I was stopping the medication.
