Hi
The consultant has advised I try
Amitriptyline
and just wanted to know if this is standard procedure and if there is any significant benefits and side effects I should be aware of. Also can I take both at the same time. Doe’s this time of year with the damp weather make anybody else feel worse!

suggestions?
I'm currently on
amitriptyline
which has helped most of all. The worst part all this is the lack of understanding or any sympathy by others. Not having a strong support system definately hinders change. Neurologists dont really have many answers. Any sughestions?

PCOS making weight loss almost impossible
I have 8 stone to lose and have prolapsed discs, making it very hard to carry out my daily work duties so I'm dosed up with Tramadol and
Amitriptyline
. I feel like putting on more weight just to qualify for bariatric surgery which boils down to how desperate I've become.

Discontinuing amitriptyline and scared
Hi guys, My doc wants me to come off
amitriptyline
and go onto sertraline. They want me to drop the dose by 25mg every week. I cant do that as symptoms return im 2-3 days. I read somewhere that you should reduce by 10% of your dose every 2 weeks.

PMR or not?
I was given strong paracetamol, ibuprofen, naprosyn, tramadol &
amitriptyline
& none of these even took the edge off the pain I was in. I could hardly walk, getting in & out of vehicles was a major struggle, couldn’t sleep at night at all.

Test results back - what to make of them?
I was diagnosed with "chronic pain" in 2010 and since then have been on a cocktail of painkillers (co-codamol, gabapentin &
amitriptyline
) to stay as mobile as possible.

Nerve pain following Shingles
I've been using ice packs, cocodomol,
amitriptyline
, but they aren't making any difference. My GP gave me capsaicin cream two weeks ago, but that's not helping much either, I'm shattered from lack of a decent night's sleep. Does anyone have any advice?

Unknown Small Fiber Neuropathy
My GP has prescribed
Amitriptyline
for the pain but this only works for a few hours. I am having a burning sensation in my feet that goes up to my knees. I sometimes get an electric shock feel under my feet and a vibrating sensation.

Amitriptyline drops numb mouth?
I was just prescribed
Amitriptyline
in an oral liquid form. I was told to take three drops and I did so by placing them in a spoon and taking them that way. The taste was awful and instantly my mouth and throat went numb and dry. Is this normal?

Leg pain
I am on 30mg of
amitriptyline
a day which helps on a normal day however when I walk the dog, go clubbing or do any weight bearing exercise it is worsened to the point I struggle to walk normally. I have started acupuncture which I recommend to anyone after meningitis.
