Leg pain

When I was hospitalised with meningitis one of my only symptoms was agonising pain in my legs. I still struggle massively with this and seems to have worsened now that I’m on sertraline which is giving me ‘involuntary muscle spasms’ (mainly my legs and toes twitch constantly). I am on 30mg of amitriptyline a day which helps on a normal day however when I walk the dog, go clubbing or do any weight bearing exercise it is worsened to the point I struggle to walk normally.

I have started acupuncture which I recommend to anyone after meningitis. I imagine it is different for everyone case by case however personally it’s helping me with every aspect of life especially sleeping.

Unfortunately I stopped going to physiotherapy as it was causing me agonising pain the next day and I was hospitalised in April as my appendix ruptured.

After months of pushing my GP has finally referred me to neurology however it has a long waiting list.

Does anyone know of any ways to help relieve or solve the leg pains other than sleep and hot water bottles??
