Hi swimalot try looking at the leaflet that comes with it and see if there are any side effects I myself take amitriptalene but in tablet the only thing is if the tablet sticks to my tongue I do get a stinging sensation for a short while! If it is becoming a real problem for you ask if your doctor can give you it in tablet form! I wish you all the best and hope things get better for you David
