Many thanks Momo. I have already given some feedback to a couple of other members, sharing some of my limited experience.

Hi Devon5 , welcome, thank you for posting this, I’m going to do a bit more research on this, as dosage and guidelines are nil. But it looks interesting.Thank you again, I hope you find all the help you need on hu, we are a friendly helpful team on here.
Hi Devon5 - I haven't personally tried this, but, as with many supplements, I feel it's always wise for you to discuss with your GP first. It seems it 'may' have some benefits, but as yet there is insufficient research in humans to back this up.
Please see: livestrong.com/article/2840... One paper cited is a study done to see its effect on blood pressure ( link.springer.com/article/1... ) a big concern for me being the conflict of interest cited at the bottom, as manufacturers of olive leaf extract used in this New Zealand study had provided 50% of the funding!
This 2017 paper is also cited in this article: verywellhealth.com/the-bene... & seems to be the only published work about this & lowering blood pressure. We'll know more if this is peer reviewed.
Hi, Devon , It's great that you are asking for advice before using a new supplement , you are clearly a very proactive person.
It's usually good to ask your GP , but also check in places like HU or check for drug interactions in places like WebMD ( as many GPs don't always know if new supplements interact with your meds and it won't always be in the ' flag ' system on their computers yet).
From my past research , for a friend , I found that Olive Leaf Extract can interact with blood pressure medications and cause a change in how well the BP meds work .
It can also cause hypotension in people with low blood pressure or cause you to slip into hypotension if you are being treated for high blood pressure but it is being well managed.
Olive Leaf extract can effect blood pressure and cause changes in blood sugar levels so it's use has to be discussed or carefully monitored if you have blood pressure problems , Diabetes or thyroid problems.
If people aren't on medication, or for new or mild cases of conditions like high blood pressure or Type 2 Diabetes and Fibro, it might be worth more research to use as a supplement but you should still discuss it with a doctor or qualified natural health provider.
Hi Devon5, you can read up about this product on the intranet but be warned it has side effects. I haven’t used this product. I do think it would be a very good idea to see your doctor before trying it.
Hi Devon5,I’ve only used Olive Leaf extract for UTI’s and have had great success with it (I use it in combo with other herbals), but have never tried it for fibro….would be interested to know too if it is helpful for that.
Eric Berg (DC) favours it for ME and FM ("best remedy"), for instance to balance cortisol (that'd be me) which can trigger a "dormant EBV", allergies (sinuses), blood pressure: youtube.com/watch?v=F30qB2t... and youtube.com/watch?v=i2zZ7mp....
I need to be careful with olives (histamine / oxalates), but olive oil is OK for me. This olive oil extract is very bitter, he says, so it is taken out of olives which are then also fermented, to make them tastier, so it's neither in olives nor in olive oil.
I'm not saying I "believe in" the EBV stuff for me, I'm going to try it though.
Side effects are dizziness (in case the blood pressure gets too low), as well as diarrhea, acid reflux, headache, stomach pain and heartburn, with dilution as a workaround. That'd be typical for me, so I'll be starting low.
Just heard of someone trying it that had "background nausea" - as I easily have that anyway, I'll be starting very low, i.e. opening the 750mg capsules I'll probably be ordering.
