Sleep and fibromyalgia

Hi, I am a fibromyalgia sufferer. For years I took various amounts of amitriptyline from 10mgs to 100mgs. The later working brilliantly until my GP insisted that I reduce the dosage to 30mgs. This I did and have suffered for it since. So I decided to change to Gabapentin. I started on 100mgs 3 x day which I slowly increased to 500mgs 3 x day which got rid of the fibro pains but I was still suffering with poor sleep. Spoke to GP who recommended 60omgs twice a day which I have been taking for the past 10 days with no help on sleeping. Getting off to sleep is my difficulty. Is there anyone that can hep me please.

Hi can anyone help. I’ve been diagnosed with fibro a year ago and have started to develop my head moving involuntary. Both my daughter and husband have noticed this. Is this part of fibro? It’s greT to have somewhere to talk to people who understand. Hope you are all doing well 🌺🌺

Hi,I've had fibro for nearly 20 years and do not know this as a symptom. I suggest you check it out with your GP or consultant.

Hi just noticed your post today. I suffer from cervical dystonia (as well as fibromyalgia) which causes head tremors and involuntary head movements my head moves to the left it is also very painful as it is the brain telling you to move your muscles. It took me a number of years to be diagnosed but it’s now managed well with Botox injections into the muscles affected Maybe mention cervical dystonia to your GP
