Antripiline Having

Having been taking Phenergan to help with night sweats and not sleeping. Before my holiday night sweats were awful and as I was spending 5 nights with family I didn't want this awfulsweating. Spoke to a Clinical Pharmacist at my G P. She prescribed Amitriptyline for me. ( Great news----- no sweat). Spent the remainder of my holiday in a hotel. Brilliant holiday celebrating my Birthday with all my family and friends. I put in for a repeat of Antripiline today and my G P telephoned me to say I couldn't take them as they could bring on a heart attack. I have just got over Covid and a bad hour of Asthma. When I spoke to a different Dr on Tuesday and told her I was having Palpitations she thought it was because I had a fever. I feel well and glad to be ok. So I'm back to square one. Anyone who suffers with night sweats, I would love to hear how ye deal with them, not menopausal (70) . Hope all keeping well. Take care x
