Betaine with pepsin
I’ve just got some betaine as recommended by Dr Izabella Wentz. It says to take one capsule with every meal - does anyone know if there’s any interactions with T3 as I’ll be taking one with breakfast and hour after my T3 dose. Also has anyone any experience with betaine with pepsin that has helped improve

I recovered well and was discharged on 12 September, returned to NZ (from UK) and was back to work (desk job) in November and also returned to weightlifting. I was feeling back to normal but Over the last few weeks I’ve noticed headaches, increase

What do you think of my Endo's comments!!
Hi All Well I saw the endocrinologist last week (privately - self funding) and he said my results are all fine. (Serum TSH 0.29 range 0.30-3.94, Serum Free T4 13.6 range 12.30-20.20, Serum Free T3 3.7 range 3.70-6.70). I asked him why my surgery had asked to see me following these results and he said

Update
So following my overdose I tried to leave intensive care, got about 3 miles away from the hospital when the police found me and dragged me back under a section 136. I spent 15 hours in the 136 suite before being placed on a section 2 and taken back to the psych ward. They took me off all my medications

Which medication worked best for you? Amitriptyline, pregabalin or gabapentin?
Consultant has written to GP to recommend prescribing one of the three medications above. Just interested to know which worked best for other people in terms of reducing pains and symptoms whilst having the least side effects? If you had a choice, what would you pick? Thanks in advance :)

I've been reading more and more on the research with Ketamine for the treatment of depression and especially treatment resistant depression. They are getting closer getting it on the market (though closer means years instead of decades). Its kind of exciting because its been so long since any really

Amitriptyline
Hello, Two surgeries down and almost a year pain free it would seem my endo is back once more. Since my last op I have changed Drs due to relocating so I am experiencing a whole different method of dealing with the symptoms. This time round I have been prescribed Amitriptyline to help with the pain

Restless all over
Hi, I’m new on here & hope you can help. I suffer with neuropathic pain, particularly in my feet. I’m barely able to stand anymore . Unfortunately I also have many allergies & intolerances. Due to problems taking meds, I was put on Butec patches but after a couple of months I began to get a severe reaction

Medication
Do any of you feel that all the medication the doctors give you for fibromyalgia works ? I know we’re all different and take different combinations. I began on 10 mg of Amitriptyline I’m now on 50 mg as well as 900 mg of gabapentine , 100 mg of sertraline (for my mood apparently) as well as tramadol

Mycophenolate update after Rheumy appt
Hi all, It's the wee hours of the morning. Can't sleep -- but that's another story. I saw my Rheumatologist earlier today to review my experience on Mycophenolate. I was feeling quite bright as I'd had encouraging results since a few weeks after starting it. My sun sensitivity went way down, which

Has anyone tried Duloxetine?
Newly diagnosed with Fibro after being in pain since 2006. Amitriptyline doesn't work for me and I couldn't deal with the side effects either. Tramadol does take the edge off and it gives me energy but I'm worried about getting addicted to this so don't really want to be on it long term x

How do I not make myself look like a wally
Hi everyone. I’ve put off applying for DLA/PIP as it is now for years due to not realising how/what my illnesses at the time were. 2005 I believe my Fibromyalgia started after a very bad case of bacterial tonsillitis and within days all my knee, elbow and hands were very swollen and sore couldn’t even

Medicine advice
Hi everyone, hope your day is going well and you have minimal pain. I’m going to the gp on Monday. Amitriptyline isn’t really working much anymore so I’m going to ask the gp to increase the dose. I am really struggling with day time pain. Can I ask what others are taking so I can take some suggestions

Is my constant itchy scalp neuritis?
My issue dates back 7 years where I had an intensely itchy scalp like a crawling sensation for a month. It has since come back for 2 weeks at a time then disappears. Until last year when it came back April 2017 it has gone for 2 months then has been there pretty much for a year. It is an unbearable need
