Accolate
Hi I am on my second day of accolate, I used to take montelukast and my GP thinks accolate might help me more. Today I have a thumping headache and feel very tired. Does anyone know how long it will take to know if the accolate is helping? Also does anyone know if you are allowed to have a cup of tea

What a weekend! This could turn into a rambling saga, but I will try and precis it. We arrived on Friday evening, which meant I at least had one fairly decent night's sleep before the big day. Saturday was spent largely registering and being force-fed carbs by Ironson. I was in bed by 10pm with number

First Aid for bleeding. Part 2: New gauzes and powders
There is a whole range now of gauzes which do not have to be removed: they dissolve. Does anyone know which ones are the best? I have chosen to carry in my briefcase something that is cheap, individually wrapped for travelling. I would use it as my first line of attack, then stuff on top the less sterile

Hello again, I am new to lupus (currently on 20mg prednisilone and 400mg hydroxy), so I hope people don't mind me asking some elementary questions. I've just come down with phlebitis in one leg - it's very painful. Started on flucloxicillin by my GP yesterday, but it's worse today. So are there any

Reassurance to those taking Rivaroxaban re minor cuts
A couple of days ago I had a nasty accident with our razor sharp breadknife - sliced my thumb and there was a river of blood. As we had visitors a visit to A&E was not on the cards so I put my First Aid into practice, giant wad of paper towel and continued pressure. It was not very long before I could

My health condition
I have a leg problem caused by heperapin and warfarin some 20 odd years ago. It took me eight years to learn how to walk again. Recently it seems I had a heart attack and DVT in my right leg. I immediately started using a thombosis stocking. I am on Tramadol for back pain. Caused by the leg problem.

Falling in the dark alley!
Went out for a night run yesterday, my best one for a long time with no walk breaks! Had a lie down though because as I ran through a dark alley, I did not notice the uneven ground and stumbled and fell flat on my front, arms outstretched! Jumped up quickly though and carried on (just like Mo) and
