Ecotrail Oslo 31 km - My own Barkley Marathons
On Saturday, I ran the 31 km stretch of Ecotrail Oslo. I've previously run both the 10 km and 21 km distances in the past. One of the reasons I like Ecotrail is that the cutoff is very generous. I started at 12:30, and needed to make it to the finish line by 10 pm. No big deal, right? I haven't had time

10 months post Stem Cell Transplant
It's been a long time since I last posted on here! 10 months ago I was lucky enough to receive donor cells from a 10/10 match. It's been a rollercoaster ride but looking back, I've been very lucky as it has been nowhere near as bad as I had read it could be. Yes there have been some challenges, felt

Itchy outer ears and warm feeling
It’s been two weeks and I am having this terrible outer ears itch and warmth is coming out from them. It’s started on one then second also got affected. Slowly the crawling feeling under the scalp came back after 10 months. I got myself checked for head lice but none present. Now I have itching on

Tortured by a Butterfly -- Dermatology and extreme sun reactions
Hi Guys, Got my Rheumatology letter yesterday, which threw me in multiple directions (and upset me about the breast explant situation again -- but I'll save that for another day). Because forefront on my mind is my Dermatology appt this afternoon. Yesterday, I provoked 2 bright red, painful burns

PCOS, Clomifene and shortened periods
Hello, I've recently been diagnosed with PCOS. I've always had fairly regular periods (average 32 days) until I started trying to conceive 2 years ago (ironic?!) In the last year my periods have been more erratic, 36 to 50 days. I'm at the top end of the healthy weight category and have some minor hirsutism

HAIR LOSS AND FREE AVEDA PRODUCTS.....
Hello ladies (sorry guys, but this one is for the gals!) When I was on higher doses of prednisolone, I suffered some hair loss. I have quite fine hair, and I remember how unpleasant it was, finding a handful of hair in the plughole, after a shower. My hair is much better now I'm on a lower dose. (I'm

Acute hepatitis recovery
Hello all, I was diagnosed with acute viral hepatitis (non A or E) three months ago after feeling nauseous and generally unwell and my pee being a lot darker than usual. My scores were high (ALT >1600 Bilirubin 122). I went to the liver specialist two months ago (by which time ALT was mid 900 and bilirubin

Agitated sleep
Hi everyone, I need ideas/advice to cope with my husband’s agitated sleep. He clasps and unclasps his hand and rubs constantly and rocks the boat which wakes me up. Or he rubs his face so hard he has red marks in the morning. I’m not sure about giving him a sleep aid or cbd oil: what have you experienced

Desogestrel
Just had my first consultation and have swapped from microgygnon to desogestrel. Been told to try this for 4 months and if it doesn’t help the next step would be the key hole surgery. Anyone had experience on this tablet? Did it stop periods completely? UPDATE : swapped to this pill. I’m now currently
