Ferritin Level of 32
Had my Ferritin Levels checked last week. Results have come back at 32. Two years ago it was 200 and last year it was 90. GP is now going to prescribe iron tablets but due to the fact I have Polycythemia as well, he was a little reluctant. I have a phone appointment with Haematologist in December

Has anyone tried ox bile or TUDCA. Ursodiol causes acne weight gain and hair loss. I have been taking Urso for 9 years. I am taking 500 mg twice a day of ox bile.

Takes time but will improve
I think most of us experienced hair loss when first on Urso. Seemed to last with me for a few years until got used to it and then stopped and hair started thickening up a bit. Have been a vegetarian for past 23 years. Diagnosed with PBC 15 years ago. I have never experienced the ‘itch’. I believe giving

Look no further , are you struggling on metformin ? , just taking Myo inositol ? Or maybe your not taking anything for your insulin resistance ? Let me introduce you to my lil friend, Inositol is a brilliant supplement. Inositol influences the action of insulin, a hormone essential for blood sugar control

Methotrexate 6weeks on
Just had my 6 week review on Methotrexate. Everything okay at the moment, only noticeable sides effects so far is waking up an hour earlier every day and more hair coming out than usual when I wash it. My folic acid has been increased to 6 x week and I have been told I can take Biotin as it will not

Just published: phase 3 results of an outpatient trial of Regn-Cov (USA; known as Ronapreve in the UK). Summary results may have been given before by press release, but here is the detail. Interestingly, almost 70 % of the subjects had no detectable antobodies at baseline. Administered in an outpatient

Is pain normal/ok?
I have AIH and am on budesonide and azathioprine. This week I’ve been getting some pain in my liver is that normal or should I be calling my doctor? I’m pretty newly diagnosed so not sure what’s normal or not just yet. Any advice would be great

Make Sure You Understand Your Full Diagnosis
In February of 2021 I had my mental health intervention. I was diagnosed with GAD, Depression Type 1 with Psychotic Features, and PTSD. As most of you know I've been trying to treat the symptoms for my anger issues, my PTSD, and my depression. Well what did I not treat? The psychosis. This is why I'm

Methatrexate and hair loss.
I have been prescribed Mtx for RA as well as dealing with a flare of GCA. Can’t sleep like many people and thinking of trying Amatriptalene. My main concern is hair loss whilst taking Mtx. Im contemplating taking a supplement to try to combat this. I have only recently managed to get my hair back to

Penile Injection Therapy
I notice none of these medications are listed in Goodrx. Does anyone know how much they cost? What some of the plusses and minuses are in their use? "The three main types of medications used in penile injection therapy include: papaverine phentolamine prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) or alprostadil (Caverject

So very random. I inject methotrexate and this morning I used my thigh as the injection site but now my skin is yellow around the area. This hasn’t happened before. Any idea ?

Just started taking Horizant
I just started taking Horizant. I have been on Percocet for over 15 years. But I wanted to see if I could take something else as I start taking the percocet at 5:00 PM and take a half pill every hour until 11:00 when I turn the lights off in my bedroom and go to sleep. It has worked very well but

Pandemic woes and lost progress
Hello, Not sure how to start this so I'll guess I'll just start. 2019 was a golden year, lots of friends around, had a great dog, and a couple good flings, it was just a good time all around. However as the year came to an end, two friends moved out of the house, leaving my best friend, dog, cat, and

Leg hair loss on pred
Leg hair loss on prednisone Has anyone else had thinning of their leg hair while on pred? I’ve probably had about 16 courses since august 2019 The hairs on my legs have thinned out lots the past two years. Not anywhere else on my body just my legs. There’s worse things than not needing to shave

Does the anxiety ever stop?!
What a journey this has been… unsure whether the whole COVID restrictions and uncertainty surrounding living a normal life again with this deadly virus floating around, I’ve had every which symptom but euphoria with this condition and having had a really big leap forward recently with huge subsidence

Methotrexate Hair Loss
This question is aimed at those of you on Methotrexate, I’d really appreciate your input. This is not merely a vanity question, I am starting on it today and believe it causes hair loss. 18 months ago I had a major operation which caused me to lose about a third of my hair and made the rest brittle

Two doses of enoxaparin inj a day for APS stroke survivors?
I ve had a couple of dibilatating strokes but w alot of PT(physio) i am very close to 98%. My question is i am on enoxaparin 2.2 mg/kg every twelve hours is this average for most. I know some without strokes take only take 40mg a day as a preventative. What are other”APS stroke” patients taking. Curious
